So let's say are you bulking up, but every morning you will do fasted cardio to take advantage of carb depleted state to burn fat, rest of the day is normal diet plan?

WithdrawlI've done this on a lean bulking phase before with good results. But keep in mind I didn't gain as much as I could have because of this. I'm very anal about my bodyfat levels so I never do a true bulk. You're better off just skipping the cardio till you're done with your bulking phase so you can take advantage of building as much muscle as possible. But if you MUST do cardio, do what klaydo68 said and drink some BCAA's and don't exceed 30min of low intensity cardio.
Imo slam some bcaas do 20-30 very low intensity cardio you wont go catabolic bcuz of the juice and the bcaas when bulking cardio increases appetite for the rest of the day and is necessary for maintaining heart health and bp control
blackrock90my cardio plan was just simple 4 speed on the treadmill at a 4% incline.... I will still take protein only though to prevent muscle breakdown
scootertrampYou cannot bulk on a depleted state, you are catabolic. First thing you should eat upon waking is your proteins whey and complete eggs(not just whites)25 minutes later load up with complex carbs. Feed your muscles then support your energy levels. Stay anti-catabolic.
When you are doing cardio in a fasted state you can cause your body to go into a catabolic state. Which means with no food to use for energy what's left? Typically muscle and fat get broken down. You want fat to be the only thing being reduced but unfortunately you also lose a little muscle.
Carb depleted state is not ideal for bulking typically because the glycogen protects you from muscle breakdown and while we are bulking we are not concerned about fat but muscle breakdown is reversing the goal.
I usually don't do a ton of cardio while bulking because that just means I need to eat that much more food. WHile bulking I already eat all damn day force feeding, so doing strenuous cardio just increases the amount of calories burned.
