+ 1 Therapeutic dose of deca

ad

I have done a great deal of research into this subject and feel like I have a pretty good idea of where I need to be, but I wanted to reach out to the Eroids community for some first hand advice based on personal experience.

I am 36 and have been a long time jogger (5-6 miles, 5 days/wk at a pace of 10-11miles per minute). Not a marathon runner by any means, but enough to keep bf % and blood pressure in check while bringing in enough cals to maintain lean muscle mass.

My issues is that my joints are really starting to ache and the OTC supplements haven't been doing much to help. I know the "quick fix" or "easy answer" would be to replace jogging with swimming, rowing or hopping on an elliptical to relieve the strain on my joints. I agree that these are slam dunk ways to remedy my issue- but the catch is that my absolute, ride or die best friend in the world is my chocolate lab and the high point of his day is his father/son jog every morning and I don't have the heart to jump in a pool or hop on an elliptical and take that from him.

So, with all of that being said my question is, has anyone had any success running a low dose of deca to alleviate joint pain and what your dose was?

My stats are:

36 years old
245 lbs
12% bf
8 years experience running gear

I'm just looking for solid joint support, not looking for huge strength gains, size gains or negative sides.

On a side note, has anyone experienced the same joint support as low dose deca on low dose (30-50mg/wk) NPP

Any advice from personal experience would be much appreciated.

Thanks fellas!

So your trt which is good for what you want to do. Problem is deca long term is a bad idea. Deca as a permanent fix is false. Yes it lubes joints. Yes your joints will feel good while on. Truth is it masks problems, it does not solve them long term. I use low dose deca as part of my cycles for joint pain. Short term and to get me through heavy lifts over a 16 week blast. After I come off. I load up on otc joint support and I'm in pain for a couple weeks. It won't solve your problem. I don't recommend it for what you are trying to do. I'm 43 getting old sucks

Edit: I am on TRT or this would not even be a consideration. Sorry I forgot to mention that

I would consider myself more of a powerlifter then a bodybuilder (in a recreational sense), but the gist is the same lol. I'm not a competitive runner looking to gain an edge from running deca lol

Are you on trt?

Yes, I most certainly should have added that in the OP. This would not even be a consideration otherwise

My joints feel great on 150 mg per week. You are heavy to be a runner. Buy better shoes maybe. I had to switch to toe running once i got over 260. You may be too heavy to be a heal-striking runner.

Good advice. I can't wear Brooke's because the toe box is too narrow, but Asics work well for me

I personally have friends that use it at 125mg and have great success with it. I'm told that 75-100mg is good enough but honestly never tried it. Not sure how I feel about the subject because it's not something I'd suggest staying on long term at any dose. Trt is one thing but relying on Deca long term is a different subject altogether.
