Test Only Cycle and Statins
I am in the planning process of my first cycle of Test C only and just got news from my doctor that my cholesterol is still high after months of dieting and training to help lower it which didn't help much at all. He now believes it to be hereditary since my father and siblings also have high cholesterol. I am just about to start taking a statin and was wondering if the test and statin together will cause any issues. I know the test will raise my LDL and lower my HDL but aside from counter acting each other are there any other known concerns or reasons I should not start once I have finished priming my body. See my picture section to see what I have done to get ready for my cycle. Really disappointed at the moment to have put in all this work and was looking forward to this cycle.

Do you eat a lot of meat? What kind of meat? Eggs? Cholesterol is not (in great enough quantity) produced internally. It's almost always diet.
It is also hereditary. During the last 4 months I cut out almost all fats and had no saturated/trans fats and ate pretty much nothing with cholesterol in it. I eat chicken and turkey as my protein no red meats, low GI carbs. I know the meds will bring them down just need to know if test and statins together cause other issues? Does being on a statin pretty much end the thought of AAS use?
I was 22 when a doc told me I had high cholesterol. They prescribed statin to me. Instead of taking it I did a juice fast for 3 weeks and eventually became vegetarian. I'm not saying that's what you should do but they gave me similar lines about it being hereditary (because of my age). After 6 months, blood work came back fine. I agree with monsteron, just be open with your doc. They should know.
Put the cycle off and get your cholesterol in order. I know its not what you want to hear, but its the truth. It's nice to be big and lean, but it doesn't do you any good in a hospital bed or a coffin.
Im not going to start until the LDL comes down but according to the Doc I will more than likely be on the statin the rest of my life. Just wanting to know if the two together once levels are normal will the two together cause issues?
This is something you should really discuss and be open with your Dr. About. I know people on trt who use statin to combat the sides from it. But to already be using statin and not using test. Regardless of what anyone else resoonds to this. Talk to your Dr. We don't know your levels, we don't know your family history, etc. We don't know anything about you besides a few sentences tou may throw at us. Be honest with your concerns and goals. Last thibg, if you are in statin its oretty serious, being on statin already increases your chance of heart attack and stroke. did you discuss to your dr natural ways such as flax seed. Cod fish oil,?
Yeah, I did all the natural ways to try and bring down my levels. I ate as described above and took flax seed oil pills daily, crushed flax seed in my oats daily, cardio, weight training lost 22 lbs and dropped 9% body fat. Im currently 160lbs about 15% BF. My levels are before/after LDL 172/165, HDL 41/42, Triglicerieds dont rember the number but they said it was normal. Total cholestrol 253/223. All other health indicators are fine BP is typically 110/65 Heart Rate avg is 70bpm.
But I guess from answers so far not a good idea. Health is most definately first. Im happy with my current body was just hoping to put the final touches on it (No pun intended) :(

I too use to beat myself up trying to dial in on the whole cholesterol thing, until I educated myself through this book. Really, its a great read and will help you understand.
