Please help a beginner out
So here goes nothing. I am a 25 year old male. 6'0 185 pounds and lean. I have hit my plateau in the gym for quite sometime and wanted to add some mass so I contemplated taking steroids. After much research I put together a cycle consisting of test e for 10 weeks with anastrozole, and clomid and nolva acting as pct. But now that I have everything I am developing cold feet mainly due to everything I have read about the sides. Now I can deal with bloating and even shrunken balls but I love the hair on my head a lil too much. So will experienced user please shed some light on what I can expect in terms of hair loss and is it permanent. I have heard that the hair grow thinner due to lack of DHT so would it come back thicker once I stop the use. My dad is 55 and now and has a shiny pate on top of his head but I am a very hirsute guy who would give wolverine the run for his money with the amount of hair on my body but all I am worried about is my scalp hair (weird I know!) So people please shed some light on this matter so that I can decide if I should go through with this. As things stand, I have the whole gear put together and its just lying there as I cant even sell it to anybody I know :(

you hit the nail right on the head bro. I am kinda paranoid about it i guess. But I am willing to give it a shot. Thanks for being so helpful.
I dont like chips either haha. But in all seriousness I dont expect to do more than one cycle at least for the next few years. The only reason I am inclined to do this one is because I have put in a lot of hours of research and lot of money into putting this cycle together so I might use it as well. I hope that this one cycle doesn't leave permanent damage to my hair. I am still looking for someone to buy it off from me but its hard to find eager buyers in a small town
If your scalp without a doubt shows signs of MPB (male pattern baldness)than it may be possible to aggrivate the hair folicules.
If you have full thick hair, and don't seem to show MPB than you should be ok for the most part.
Anyways I went through the same thing, and I've know for the past several years already that I did have signs of MPB from the front hairline. On my current particular cycle I't doesn't appear as if my hairline was greatly affected HOWEVER...cough,cough my hair definately without a single doubt did get thinner. last time I had longer hair before cycle it still felt thick and corse as it always has. My hair was so thick that it would stopup all barber clippers. NOW....I noticed couple of weeks ago that my hair is feeling finer, thinner.lighter everytime I run my figers through it trips me out. The last cycle was cool with Test, and EQ, but this time the two main ingredients were Test/Tren Ace. There will be no Tren Ace in my cycle next summer. This makes me sad.LOL
Well as far as I know I do not have MBP but you never know. I have thick coarse hair. I only intend to do this one cycle so my question is whether the changes you have mentioned came over longer duration or just with one cycle. This will be my first and only cycle for a while and I am 25 now and I will be running Test E. Do you think that a shampoo like Nioxin will help.
AnonWell everyone says that the moms side of the family is a indicator of mpb. Everyone from my mums side (Even her lol) are bold or almost bold. I am as thick as a bear hair wise and i cant see me loosing them any time soon. Both my granpas were bold as well but my father isnt he is like a microphone. Thank god i got my scalp from my father. If you are worried about hairloss hit the nizoral 2 times per week, propecia 1mg ed and 320mg saw palmetto extract ed. If you have already signs of mpb use rogaine foam 2 per day as well. Dont run winstrol ever if you are worried, propecia does nothing for that.
AnonMale pattern baldness is passed on by the MOTHER.. basic genetics 101.. DHT derivatives such as WINNY are more likely to cause thinning hair.. but not in every instance..
tread-mCAhardcore hit on it nicely but I think there is one thing I might add. Could come from anyone on moms side go back to their family beginning, not just her Mom and Dad. So they answer is you dont know. DHT build up, if sesceptible to MPB, can thin the hair follicle choking off the hair. With a straight test run it is not going to be likely that you would notice hair loss or thinning in that amount of time and just "quit your cycle"? as you put it. Chances are, as was said, you will just increase the speed of the baldness. If not predisposed genetically it should have no effect itbe short or long run. There are compounds that have been known to just make your hair fall out but it usually comes back. If you feel that strongly about it then you might run the finisterad (propecia) from the beginning and just continue it. It could help the effect that test has on DHT and even if you ar prone, make it less of an issue.
I don't know what dosages he is planning on taking, but even at moderately dosed cycles (500mg/week) finasterid just doesn't cut it anymore, you need the much more effective dutasterid.
Trust me, propecia is just going to be a waste of time and money. Now if you add some ketoconazole shampoo (like nizoral 2%) to the dutasterid then you should be golden.
I am probably running 400mg/week with arimidex. I am thinking of using nizoral. I have heard on other forums that propecia acts as a deterrent to muscle and strength growth and also cuz I am tired of ordering another prescription med off the internet. Thanks for the input everyone
Dutasterid works directly on the scalp so it does not interfere with anything else going on in your body.
At 400mg/week and if you are already experiencing that your hair is getting thinner I would definitely recommend it. Nizoral won't be enough, although when I was off I definitely experienced my hair getting thicker, but it takes quite a long time to work.
Thanks!!
And even when AAS exasperates MBP. Does it stop if i discontinue the usage of test. Say if I see my hair falling out or thinning and at the very first instance I discontinue my cycle, would the effect still linger. I know these are pretty dumb questions but this is the only way to learn. Thanks again for your time
Thanks for the feedback. My grandpa did have a silvery mop of hair from what I can recall. Is there anything over-the-counter that can be used to further reduce the chances of this happening. I have read about propecia but one I do not want to spend any more money and two i do not want to add another hormonal substance to my cycle.
