If it is the thought of a needle... I can't tell you enough about the benefits of just getting it out of the way. Intramuscular injections can, if prepared correctly, be pretty painless. Alcohol wipes, skin stretching, massaging after... plenty of stuff you can do to ease it.
Go to the local chemist and make up some cock and bull story that you're on a cycle of injectable prescribed meds if you have to and that needles aren't your best friend. They'll sell you some numbing cream which you refrigerate if it comes to that.
The feeling you get throughout the day is is great if you jab test in the morning!
As Phobia's go being scared of needles is a pretty gay one. The very worst that can happen with an IM injection (that's well away from viens) is that you could get an infection (that what they make antibiotics for) and to a lesser extend PIP. Geez, man up OP if it is the case. Failing that Badminton is supposed to be a nice, safe hobby.

Although your liver will pass it.. you're gonna fuck yourself up in the process. FIrst off, the benefits are slim to none.
Secondly, what it is going to do to your health.. its just going to be detrimental.
If its needles you're scared of, lemme tell ya i was terrified my first shot(which coincidentally was 2 days ago) and i started cracking up because its literally painless.

The main thing is getting over the fear of the unknown and your brain tricking you into what you think you will feel.
If it is nerves that are the problem (vs pain), try a practice pin in and out with no gear. Take time and there is no pressure. Always be safe and sanitary anytime something enters your body.
skip the oral test, go injectible. No c-17 or waste associated with oral test. Saves you money too. If you are scared of needles, and some folks are/were, just do research and watch a lotta youtube videos, and you'll realize if your educated, you'll do it right and it is only a small prick then all good.

But guess what OP, both have an added methyl-group at the c-17-alpha-position called "17-alpha-alkylation".
While this helps them to partially survive the first-pass through the liver, I can assure you they will fuck it up pretty good in the process.
