Lump at injection site 250mg test e

ad

I have been pinning my quads and delts with 250mg Test E since Late August. I am doing 150mg per week as a TRT dose of a highly reputable UGL gear. I have done cycles in my twenties with higher doses never any issues. I recently pinned my right delt early Wednesday after doing my chest workout. It's Friday now and I have a small lump where I injected but there is no redness or heat at the site. My chest was cramping while injecting so I was moving the needle around while injecting and some blood came ourt and streamed down my arm after. I have some Doxycyline on hand but don't want to use it until I am sure it's an infection. Anyone had a similar experience? Maybe a possible hematoma? Any suggestions on relief methods? Thanks for your help.

If you don't have any problems with your immune system then this problem will go away naturally. During muscle contract a small local trauma occured. Just be careful with your right delt during training for 5-7 days.

I actually did shoulders today and there was no issues. The lump seems smaller today.

I use a 1/2 “ slin pin for my delts, putting in .5 cc at a go. I’ve never had any adverse reactions from it. I think you clipped a vein.

Backonagain's picture

I also did .7ml this time too.

No need to stress. Just take some ibuprofen and you’ll be fine. Maybe warm the oil up a bit next time and inject slowly. What size pins do you use for delts? I’ve always used 5/8”.

Backonagain's picture

27g half inch

I warm the vial in a shot glass with warm water

Swelling has gone a little today

A couple mistakes bud, I prefer to call one like this an opportunity though, it’s an opportunity to learn better techniques. First off never move that needle around. If you’re cramping, having a spasm, some guys get anxiety while self administering an injection (which is ok), but remove the needle. Try again at another time, serious injury can occur. The pic attached is an easy reference, the acromoin process is what you feel on top of your delt, basically the top of the socket that the ball of your shoulder goes into. Find it, you won’t miss it, go two fingers below that, remember that line. Make a “V” with your fingers at the bottom of your delt, with your fingers meeting the other line. You’re good anywhere inside that area but the middle of that triangle is your sweet spot. The rest is easy, .7ml is a little much for subq, and you’re better off going IM with a 1” needle. In the meantime, NSAIDs and a heating pad will be your best friend. Save the doxycycline for the next time you have chlymidia. You’ll be fine bro.

My favorite course studies in college. Anything that involved math a struggled with and barely squeaked by, I’d even say a few professors padded me a bit, but the sciences? Loved it!

Same here. Love it!

Thanks for the tips.

Ibuprofen + vit C

I would try a one inch needle. A half inch is shallow.

Make a invisible cross on your shoulder to outline or gauge the area. Go a half inch in or smidge the outer part from the center. That's my sweet spot. Make sure you're not tense and relax the delt as if your whole arm is dead.

I don't use another wipe after the injection either. Only before. Let it dry well also

You'll get the hang of it

It's my fourth shot into that delt with the 27g half inch as I was wanting do shallow IM with it. I did use more this particular time instead .3ml I did .7ml in it maybe it was too much? Also I had blood come out of the shot and run down my arm which has never happened before. Has anyone tried SubQ with UGL gear low dose?

Serrajitsu0876's picture

If going subQ it should be smaller amounts. Xyosted injections are .5ml and reports are it’s mostly painless. With 250mg or 300mg test you can spread that out over everyday injections. The only downside is some UGLs don’t post their percentages of BA/BB and some don’t even mention what carrier oils they use. I’ve used Pharma sus sub Q without any problems.

Backonagain's picture

Currently using Ultima and it's been great so far. I was wanting to try SubQ but am nervous about the UGL for the reasons you mentioned. I will be generally using .6ml per week. If I went EOD with .2ml that shouldn't cause issues right?

Serrajitsu0876's picture

It shouldn’t. Give it a try and see what happens. Most guys that I’ve seen go subQ are using pharma. You’ll never know until you try lol.

ForeverFitBod1's picture

You definitely nicked a vein bro, when you wipe with alcohol after, it gets right in there. If it's virgin muscle, definitely give it a whole week between hitting it again.

I've tried a couple UGL sub Q. No go. Same with water-based suspension. A couple guys claim it's just fine for them but everyone reacts different to gear or carriers or solvents. Make sure to aspirate

Deeper the better, for me a shallow injection is just a no go. Do some high rep light workouts with the muscle that will help it absorb. Warm up the pin next time wrapped in a heating pad on low also. Helps alot. I still think that it's a problem with being too shallow, when you did it before it was less oil. Now that your using more oil in the spot you might need to go deeper if you want to use that much. Oh and Crystal vitamin C helps a lot with that sort of stuff, drop a spoonful and some ice water maybe twice a day

Hope you get it all sorted out

I have done .5ml before with no issues. I think the combination of cramping that was causing me to wiggle the needle around and .7ml while possibly hitting a vein just made a bad situation. I really plan on doing .3ml shots twice a week for TRT purposes. I was doing quads with 25g 1 inch as well.

Was this your first pin out of this vial?

Backonagain's picture

I have been pinning with it since late August.

RobertB80's picture

You may be having a reaction to the carrier oil, I had this with MCT. It may also be that gear has a high level of benzyl alcohol. Or it may just be that you pinned poorly on that occasion. If there is no redness and you don’t have a temperature it’s unlikely that it’s infected and small lumps at injection site aren’t uncommon. I’ve changed gear brand and carrier oil several times until I found one with Grapeseed oil that doesn’t give me pip, although I still often get small lump at injection site, there is little pain and no infection. Maybe try a different brand with different carrier oil. Heat oil before pinning, inject slowly and continue to always alcohol swab injection site and vial top. Hope this is of some help.

Backonagain's picture

I have been pinning with this vial since late August with both quads and delts so I don't think it's a carrier oil issue. I warm the bottle by placing it in a shot glass with warm water prior to drawing from it.

RobertB80's picture

If you’ve been pinning with same oil, needle and other variables were all the same without issue, then highly likely it’s just from needle moving around when your pec cramped. For pain relief or lessen swelling use ibuprofen and a heat pad. Hopefully it’s a one off. Doesn’t sound like an infection and therefore not unusual or something to be overly concerned about.

ForeverFitBod1's picture

Agreed. He did use twice as much oil as he was before In that area. I am extremely lean and I still can't use a half inch because of the symptoms he is talking about

Backonagain's picture

I would like to add that I always wipe the vial top before drawing. I use a 25g to draw then switch to a 27g half inch for injection. I wipe down the site prior to injection and use another wipe after injection to massage the area.

RobertB80's picture

1/2” might be too shallow. This could cause oil to be pinned subcutaneous rather than intramuscular and hence causing lumps. I use 21g 1.5” to draw and 25g 1” to pin in glutes and delts.

Backonagain's picture

It was the fourth time into that delt and blood came out so I hit muscle just not deep enough into it?

RobertB80's picture

Blood coming out doesn’t mean anything other than you’ve hit blood vessel or gone through scar tissue. Normal and nothing to worry about. I use 1” needle into delts and glutes to be sure of going intramuscular. In my opinion 1/2” is too shallow.

ForeverFitBod1's picture

I need to start reading the whole thread before commenting lol. I think you're right here. Too shallow
