Help with High Blood Pressure.
Hello Friends and Colleagues,
Recently started my first Cycle @ 500mg of Test split (Monday and Thursday)
5' 8"
Weight: 175
BF: 13-15
I'm on my third week and 5th shot today, also took my first A.I today. The past few days i have been experiencing high blood pressure(today was 169 over 94) i've started to supplement B12 Complex, Extra potassium, General Multi Vitamin and Omega 3, 6, 9 complete, 2 tsb of Apple Cider Vinegar once a day. I also take diuretics twice a day (these come from the normal Animal Pack, the blue pills) Upped water consumption to a gallon a day. Also dropping my sodium intake. All this has done in the past 2 days. I'd like to know roughly how long the pressure may take to drop using the supplementation listed. Or what else i may do to better negate this high blood pressure. I did go to random G.P doctor today to my surprise she was highly against the thought of Testosterone being used for weight lifting and ordered me to immediately stop and not to worry about any PCT or tapering. She also would "under no circumstances" prescribe me any medication to help me lower my current blood pressure. After her words i was slightly worried about her knowledge on the subject of it knowing that i should at least taper off and PCT since the test was starting to kick in high gear. I'll be heading to a different G.P tomorrow as i do not have the ability to many different specialist as to where i live. Some advice on what you as the community would do if you were in this state, should i drop and do PCT? Should i run the course of the current supplementation and see how it pans out? Any and all reply's will be considered. Thank you Greatly.

Back again, and exactly as LeXXX said, The GP referred me to someone else. He said he was not comfortable in giving me an RX for high blood pressure at 25, he said the cause can not be because of family history (which i tried to convince him) but he says i was too young for that pressure even at my age. So now....idk..maybe i'll have to taper off the Test and run a PCT -_- . He said the specialist will continue to take bloods and conduct a kidney ultrasound. So if i deny the test and i end up doing bloods to get the pressure meds. I'm sure they'll just tell me to get off the juice....Any ideas? also my Heart Rate was 112...said it was abnormally high.
That GP is a jerk. I am a RN and suggest you make the other appt with the next GP. I would not even mention the T but just say you;ve noticed your BP is high. They should write a RX for a basic BP med, you might request a diuretic/BP med combo as "you've read they are the most effective".
This will help with BP and some of the water retention issues with high T supplementation.
Then watch you BP as you have been doing and after the cycle evaluate if you need to taper off. (BP <120/60 will be a good sign you can try and taper.)
Also you will want to take your BP in the am before your med and see if it remains high enough to treat. You may not even need it everyday, so monitor yourself closely until you get the rythm.
I'm a 10 year RN and have done two cycles in my 20's and now am on 100mg Test E/C every 5 days. I treat people with CHF and HTN on a daily basis.
My understanding is that the blood pressure regulating effects of Hawthorne Berry extracts have in the last few months been eliminated by some mandate from the FDA on supplement companies that manufacture the stuff. I always thought supplements were completely unregulated by I guess the word "completely" is a bit of a presumption.
I would go to a different doctor and simply present with high blood pressure and get an Rx med to lower it. Do not discuss Testosterone or steroids. I was able to get that script a long time ago before I looked like I took steroids. Hehehe
i agree, if he can get his hands on prescription meds to lower it, im all for that, but recent studies, 2013,2014,and 2015 show that hawthorn berry extract doe's lower blood pressure significantly.Hawthorn can help improve the amount of blood pumped out of the heart during contractions, widen the blood vessels, and increase the transmission of nerve signals.
Hawthorn also seems to have blood pressure-lowering activity, It causes relaxing of the blood vessels farther from the heart. It seems that this effect is due to a component in hawthorn called proanthocyanidin.
Research suggests that hawthorn can lower cholesterol, low density lipoprotein (LDL, or “bad cholesterol”), and triglycerides (fats in the blood). It seems to lower accumulation of fats in the liver and the aorta (the largest artery in the body, located near the heart). Hawthorn fruit extract may lower cholesterol by increasing the excretion of bile, reducing the formation of cholesterol, and enhancing the receptors for LDLs. It also seems to have antioxidant activity.
That's good stuff bro. Didn't know the stuff was that good.
I was unable to get any blood pressure meds or a water pill from the new Dr also, he did refer me to a specialist that said will take bloods and conduct a kidney ultra sound. I'm lost at what to do, i hope i can find some hawthorn berry extract asap.
you can buy it from the supermarket bro, water is key, also i know i said water only but you can start drinking beetroot juice, in all honesty though health is number one bro, if your really concerned bout it drop the lot! stop cycle if needed.
Thanks brother, really really thankful of the information and help. Heading to the market to look for both now . Should i give it about a week maybe two for results? Or how long normally?
Thank you very much GearHead, if he does bring up testosterone/steroids. Would it be better to deny it? Thanks
I would deny it. That's just my opinion and probably half of the members here would disagree with me on that. At this point in my steroid career it's painfully obvious that I'm a juice head but the various doctors I see don't even bring it up. BB is big where I live and I guess they have a number of other patients like me and my current medical problems have nothing to do with steroids so why get into a big argument about it I guess is what they think. The fact that I'm on TRT at my age and am also sterile now is a roid abuse issue but that is old news to my docs.
I couldn't agree more. My BP was fine until I went on TRT. Then it skyrocketed. I tried every OTC and supplement I could, but to no avail. I went to my doc and got on a low dose BP med and I've been perfect ever since.
High blood pressure should not be ignored or let go for an extended period of time. It will cause some serious damage to your organs and will eventually end your life if you're not careful. An easy trip to the doc will solve all of this.
Thanks alot vhman, nice to see this community cares for its members so much.
Cut out the salt first and foremost.
Thanks, Will do asap brother.
id drop everything except your multi vitamin. add hawthorn berry extract, also no other liquids besides water. keep test the same. no caffeine what so ever. check bp daily- rested. see how you are in two weeks. if you get any high readings, sit down, relax and put both feet in to a bucket of warm water, that will lower it, do you know how your liver is at the moment?
Thank you very much for the information i will indeed try this, not sure about the liver but i'll request some bloods today. I'm about to go to another Doctor now.
Gp's don't know shit about gear. Try Hawthorne berry. Also lower your test dose.
Thanks, i'll check around as much as i can today for it.
What was your bp before cycle?
Range was usually within 105 and 120 Systolic
That's a good range.
I'm heading to the Doc in a few minutes now. If he asks about testosterone or steroids without me bringing it up should i just deny it?
If he was cool maybe but i wouldn't.
