Help me sleep!

ad

What's the best sleep aid you guys have tried. I've treid valerian root, gaba, Melatonin , all the normal stuff. Nothing has really helped so far. I sleep like shit normally but especially on tren. I'm worthless without enough sleep. I can handle 4 hours or so but when it starts getting to 1, maybe only 2 hours, I'm dead to the world and workouts suffer. Not to mention, my ass has to sleep on the couch cause my ol lady gets so pissed. Thanks in advance!

Are you on cycle? Taking an AI?

People generally only list the side effects THEY experience, not the entire side effect profile which is fairly extensive for arimidex. Regarding A-dex, insomnia is a side effect for roughly 6-8% of people. Aromasin can have the same effect too.

Hormones regulate many functions including sleep, so disrupting your natural hormone levels may affect your sleep-wakefulness. Moreover, anything that stimulates your CNS has the potential to mitigate circadian rhythm. You may want to try a low dose of melatonin or Benadryl (diphenhydramine). For many, these are effective sleep aids. I find 5 -10mg of melatonin often takes the edge off enough to fall asleep without feeling hung over the next morning.

You may also want to try dosing your A-dex first thing in the morning. Don't drop the arimidex....you need to use an AI.

Bro, head down to the doc and get some Rx sleep meds.

It never ceases to amaze me how on this website we recommend and teach the use of anabolic steroids and peptides that are powerful Rx and rogue pharmacy products but when it comes to - blood pressure, sleep, anxiety, etc - the whole community suddenly turns homeopathic? LMFAO

We are ridiculous with all this homeopathy. The hormones we use on this website are way more dangerous than Rx sleep pills, Rx blood pressure meds, Rx anxiety meds, Rx pain meds even -

See your doctor and stop suffering already.

I would try some mucuna purines, may have slaughtered the spelling. It is an extract of the velvet bean and it really works great for me. A little bonus is that there are some studies saying it may help regulate prolactin and up regulate hgh, Which might be a good thing if you are on tren, hope you get some rest!

Well, as an all-natural remedy I'd recommend Erythrina Mulungu. This tree is native to Brasil and its bark is traditionally used as a narcotic resp. sedative. I've had extreme insomnia when I quit my cannabis consumption; I would lay down and be completely unable to fall asleep due to all the mental chatter. I tried all common insomnia remedies as well (Passiflora, Lavender, Valerian etc.) and hadn't had much success with them. I had access to benzodiazepines and the so-called Z-medications (Zolpidem, Zopiclone etc.), which are just as bad as classic benzodiazepines - they worked, yeah, but I didn't want to risk an addiction to medications that act on the GABA-A receptors because withdrawals are horrid. Then, I read various posts on Erythrina Mulunga and was inclined to try it; there are some studies which verify its sedative nature and imply that the alkaloids don't act on GABA-A receptors but on the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. I simmered 10 grams of shredded bark in 250 millilitres of water for 30 minutes, drank the (slightly bitter, yet pleasant tasting) concoction and laid down. I woke up approximately 8 hours later without any drowsiness. I continued to use it for a month (gradually reducing the dose) and it cured my insomnia completely. I still use it when I have a hard time falling asleep (perhaps once every two months) and it always works like a charm. Another natural remedy that you could try is Corydalis, which is primarily used in the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and acts on the Opioid-receptors; it works as well, quality products however are quite pricey. I wish you all the best.

Hey brother, see if you can get away with maybe only taking the ambein as needed. I have horrible insomnia issues since I'm an infant. You should want to try to reset your zacadic rythem. Maybe take the ambein for 3 days them see if you can do without. You will get to a pint where it won't work anymore and z drugs are kind of dirty. There are potential side effects.. zingy head aches and brain zaps.. just be mindful of that. Good luck !

growchamp's picture

No problem bro. I've noticed if I take it for 3 or 4 days my body sort of resets. Then I don't need it for a little while. Everyone is different though, so , find what works best for you.

Keep us posted, you'll certainly get better gains if you're sleeping regularly.

vhman's picture

How long have you been dealing with insomnia? Is it just the tren that's causing it or do you have it most of the time?

vhman's picture

I've struggled with insomnia most of my life. As I've gotten older, it's gotten better. I've tried everything and I really didn't find anything that worked for me for long. I had to just be super disciplined and wake up early, not matter how little sleep I got and then try to sleep the next night. You can't take naps or sleep in or you're right back where you started. That was the only natural way I could get any regular sleep. It may take several nights of little sleep, but eventually, I would get into a routine that would last for a while. Drugs put me to sleep, but I would have worse insomnia when I stopped. I found it better to just not take anything.
I would stop the tren and go from there. Best of luck.

Like they said below getting into a sleep study would be a good idea, except for the fact you don't sleep. Sleep study's are great when you're actually getting 6-8 hours but wakeup feeling like shit in the morning, takes hours to feel awake,,and feeling the need to nap during the day. Then they can monitor you and maybe see what the cause is. But in your case I would suggest seeing your doctor and getting an rx sleep aid.

I thought I was normal to wake up feeling like crap every morning. Turns out that's not how it's supposed to be lol. So my doc gave me and rx and now I wake up feeling pretty good, I don't wake up at night, and it doesn't take until 1pm to finally feel awake anymore and I feel good all day. Done wonders for my gains and recovery also. Sleep is so damn important in this game. You grow when you sleep. No sleep equals minimal gains.

irongame427's picture

Ativan, real low dose 1mg right before bed and I fall asleep fast and sleep great and wake up feeling great. I seriously thought it was normal to wakeup feeling like crap cause it had been that way for atleast the last 12 years if not more. My docs theory was my because of me being type A and very high strung and always going my brain would never shut down at night and I would never get into that deep sleep along with the fact it would take me forever to fall asleep.

irongame427's picture

Exaclty, part 1 of the problem is when I laid down. I would just think and think and think. It would take me a while to finally fall asleep. But I would finally get to sleep and get 6-8 hours but I would feel lik total crap. Say I woke up at 9 it would take me until 1 or 2 to finally feel awake. Then i would wanna take a nap at some point. It was a mess. So I think my doc was right my brain would never shutdown and allow me to get into deep sleep. Now I fall asleep basicly as soon as my head hits the pillow and I wake up 8 hours later feeling pretty good and good all day. I really thought how I was living before this was normal lol. But it's not. It sucks to have to depend on a med to sleep but it's much better then how life was before.

humpnpump's picture

Your brain never turning off is a type of anxiety and is treated with meds that hit the GABA receptors, like Iron said Ativan, Xanax there is an OTC you can order online called phenibut that may help.

humpnpump's picture

I use Powdercity.com it's the cheapest and best quality. Give me a friend request if you need more help bro, sleep studies is part of my job and i know exactly what you're going through.

kodiakGRRL's picture

a sleep study would be a great thing to do .. then you don't have to guess at how to fix the issue .... do you by any chance drink coffee?

that can still affect your sleep ;-) especially if you drink them every day

kodiakGRRL's picture

you will be amazed at how much better you sleep if you can kick the habit.. I quit drinking coffee for a while and I never slept so good ...

kodiakGRRL's picture
