help me out please......
hello everyone, new member.
I have always been skinny, very very skinny, and ive been okay with that. I have a beautiful fiancé and and a generally good life. I am just over 30 years old, right about six foot and have been 144 pounds since as long as I can remember. I have noticed myself losing weight, weight I cannot afford to lose. I stepped on the scale about 3 weeks ago and was shocked to see I only weigh 134 pounds......
I am very active, always doing something, not a lot of time to sleep between work(medic) and sports(firearms) and kids(9 y/o old). the last month since my shocking discovery of my ten pound weight loss, I have set up a workout room in my basement, started eating more, have gone through 3 large jugs of "body fortress" gainer and whey protein and have worked out almost ever night. I am seeing slight gain in lean muscle, but still have a BMI of under 4%!!! and have not gained weight. I feel I need some mass to work out with. have been eating AT LEAST one dozen eggs, every day, 6 bannanas, and whatever my usual food is and the whey and gainer shakes with milk. I would like to step up to some kind of test, but no clue where to start. no doctors please. there is just so much crap online, I know it all has to be a scam and would like to know what's legit for some actual test, and what kind I need to be doing.
please help
thanks

jesus... you eat like a bird no wonder. try this
6-7 meals
each meal has
10oz lean meat or 2 scoops of protein
peanutbutter/nuts
1.5cups of rice or large sweet potatoe
add junk food in is very acceptable if you are still finishing your plate of food
can you guys tell me whats a good over th counter weight gain shake? being using the "body fortress", but will to shell out a few extra bucks for something that has some other enhancing characteristics, like creatine etc.
optimum nutrition pro complex is decent ... do a little research brother ... but like steve said they do have a lot of sugar ... but in your case i wouldnt really worry ... add some peanut butter etc ... you want as many calories as possible... i use mostly all optimum nutrition products and they dont hit the wallet that hard
StevebAll they are is a bunch of sugar. If you want to gain weight use healthy carbs. Sweet Potatoes and Brown Rice are the best.
You can buy sweet potato powder and make shakes with whole milk. That should help a lot.
okay. after all the back and forth, looks like I am kind of an idiot. I just weighed myself after a short workout, and apparently I have gained about 5 pounds in the last couple weeks. probably on the right track. will still up my meats and keep you guys updated.
as for my identity....who cares, not that my photobucket acct has any of my actual information anyways. but, you can have my identity BTW, it's not all it's cracked up to be

but, thanks everyone. il stic with it, at this rate I should be able to reach my goal in just over a months time, and hopefully will stick with it after that
Sent you a message explaining the blood work process. Hit me up man and I will walk you through these steps.
for now, I will just add at least a pound of meat to the diet I am doing now. stick with the daily heavy lifting, avoid the cardio. I will update my progress on a weekly basis to show what I am gaining(or not gaining). if I don't see some decent results in the next 3 weeks, then i'll attempt other routes. I was initially asking about test, just hoping that maybe it would make me metabolize my food differently and actual use it to put on some weight. I seem to burn every calorie I put in, but I also need to figure out a way to relax and get better sleep. been taking .5mg of alprazolam every couple nights and that seems to be good for 3-4 hours of sleep. thanks for all's suggestions, I will just try to binge eat the best I can, which is going to suck, not a big fan of eating, but surely once I start staying full all the time, i'll get used to it and then probably want to eat all the time.
so I will kill the red meats, fatty ones I take it. stick with my 3 shakes a day and my dozen eggs. I already eat lots of nuts cheeses and breads. what OTC shakes should I be looking at?
Sent you a FR
I should also add, when I say gain and bulk, I am only trying to achieve a nice 150-155 pounds, but would like to maintain it with a normal lifestyle. not trying to be a bodybuilder or anything, just want to look "healthy"
Absolutely no reason whatsoever to use AAS to achieve 155lbs. I would get bloods done honestly dude. It will answer a lot of questions.
thanks for the HardGainer link, I really need to eat more MEAT. that is one thing I just don't enjoy eating, so I try to supplement it with lots of nuts, nanners and dairies. but I guess if I really wanna gain, I need to start making meat a daily part of my diet. what kind of meat is cheap and good for mass building?
yes, I make all my own rifles, lots of fun. if you saw the pics of the 1891 Finn that was totally redone, that is my latest project, going to machine a new brake this sunday and hit the 600yard range again next week and see what it can do with some 180 7.7jap SMK's. should be a blast
93-7 burger, turkey burger, chicken breast, and fish. If you can afford it eat top sirloin.
burger is cheap enough I guess. I used to hear people say "flank steak", anything to that?
4oz serving of flank steak is 9.4g of fat and 31g of protein not bad.
Pull the bloods like I said and post them up.
In the mean time I would begin tracking calories and macros. Download the ap my fitness pal. Make sure you are taking in between 4000-4500 calories atleast daily. You can't by eating 4000 one day then 2500 then next then Sub 2000 the next because you are busy or had to work OT. You have to be willing to eat even when you are hungry if you wanna grow. If you are not forcing feeding you are not eating enough to to bulk. And if you are not tracking daily you never know what are taking in. You do not need fear. You need meat, potatoes, pasta, oats, eggs, peanut butter, and while milk in abundance. Trust me.
not sure what you mean by "pull the bloods" I assume your meaning get bloodwork done?

By posting this link you're letting everybody know your identity.

here is my advice

thanks for link, I have read it and will look over it again.
trust me, I don't have tapeworm or cancer, ive been this size since high school. I just lost about ten pounds over the last year. very busy, only sleep a couple hours here and there. we don't get paid much, I have a house and a kid and no medical insurance. medics don't get insurance, at leas not at the last 3 places I have worked, surprising I know. obummcare wants at least 400$ a month and that includes the 6000$ deductible, so whats the point. I am probably the most active and energetic person on earth, which goes hand in hand with not be able to hold weight, my metabolism is crazy. I did weigh myself last night, and I have managed to gain 2 pounds in the last 2 weeks, so that's cool, but looking for something to help get some more weight quicker.
I have to get a doc appointment every year at my work, with bloodwork etc. so I know I am not dying of cancer or rare diseases.
Thyroid ok?
What do you eat on a typical day and when?
well seems you have it all covered ... so i guess i would say FOOD ...and then more FOOD
im just repeating everything youve already read .... but homie you need to see a doc ASAP ... 6ft 134lbs you may have something wrong that you dont even know about ... do yourself a favor and get to a doctor asap... but hey your gonna do wtf you wanna do anyway lmao
So what kind of medic doesn't want to have a doctor involved in an issue they are apparently severely struggling with? Makes no sense??? Throw up a pic? Make an appointment with your primary care physician and get a full hormone panel. If you absolutely insist in avoiding doctor for the moment go to labsmd.com and purchase a male hormone panel and get it done and post it up. We will help you determine blood results.
Tape worm? Get to the doctor. Learn to eat. Real food.
StevebIf you can't gain weight without steroids you won't gain weight with them. Something is not right, see a doctor.
If you're a medic coming up with this as a course of action then I'm utterly shocked. The way you're approaching this I simply don't believe you are what you say you are. Sorry, but it's a ridiculous suggestion from someone apparently educated to know you need to do other things.
Some of my staff are ex medics. Is this why they generally make crap research scientists?
Retread?
In about how long a time period did you lose the 10 pounds?
Have you gone to see a doctor to see if you have an underlying condition? I see you said no doctors please but that is silly. If you haven't seen a doctor do that. Get some blood work and see if anything is causing it.
How many cals are you taking in a day? Are you really eating a lot?
As far as bmi that is the most worthless stat ever. It was made by a statistician (I believe Swedish ) as a method to index information. Absolutely nothing to do with health.
Oh as far as just taking some test that's just a straight up no.
And if you are just trolling please leave. We aren't suppose to feed the trolls anymore. They crap all over the place and no one wants to clean it up.
Rustyhooker^^^^^^^^ full medical evaluation. Thyroid, hormones, and even cancer.
