AnonYes this is true due to grapefruit has enzyme that deactivate other enzyme of the liver that filter out Dbol like we all know you never absorb 100% of orals after hepatic portals pass so grapefruits enezyme help absorb a lil more and not only Dbol but any medication you can find this in pubmed i remeber reading it
Buttt.... Grapefruit also elongates the half life of estradoil so meaning more chances of Gyno you can also find this in pubmed
Thats why i dont touch grapefruit
good, to know. I'm off to get some grapefruit juice. I'm on dbol now, 4 wk bulk before my reg summer cycle.
Ensure it's red grapefruit juice... Eating a half a grapefruit would actually most likely be more beneficial. Pasteurization of many juices can break down a lot of the beneficial substances in juice. If that's not feasible then ensure it's fresh squeezed organic ruby red grapefruit juice
ive got onit as well not so keen on the taste tho
The reason that grapefruit juice increases the potency of medications is due to a group of chemicals called furanocoumarins. 6,7 dihydroxybergamottin is the specific compound that is responsible for this. The chemical interferes with the hepatic and intestinal enzyme cytochromes P450 and CYP3A4. It also interferes with glycoproteins and OATPs (organic anion transporting polypeptides) without getting into too much scientific detail, it increases the bioavailability of many medications, steroids being no exception. It is quite a cost effective way of increasing the potency and results of your gear.
It will make it more potent, but won't decrease the half life, just look at most persciptoon drugs it say don't take with grapefruit juice, it will be more potent, but make sure you still take your liver supps, it def increases protien synthesis in most prohormones

Yes and it also increases protein synthesis and absorption. Makes all of your protein intake more efficiently used. Grapefruit juice +dbol then protein shake post work out = beast mode!
Lots of benefits to grapefruit and grapefruit juice.
Grapefruit has a reaction with a lot of different medications so I don't doubt that it could have a reaction with dbol.
so would grapefruit juice make the half life of dbol last longer?
No, it does not alter the half life of the compounds. Grape fruit juice creates a higher peak plasma levels of hormones taken orally, but does not alter their half life. This is the only juice that does this too.
Since grapefruit juice does not change pharmacokinetics of drugs, it indicates that the interaction with grapefruit juice resulted from inhibition of presystemic drug metabolism (also known as the first pass affect for those who dont wanna look it up).
White grapefruit juice, particularly double-strength juice (single dilution of frozen concentrate), was the most effective.
Yes grapefruit juice alters an enzyme in your liver responsible for metabolizing. It is not a myth, grapefruit juice can increase the rate at which a drug is broken down. This can cause more stress to the liver but will make the dbol more "potent" but that isn't always a good thing.
Opiate users often use grapefruit juice to increase the strength and duration of opiates.
X2 esp w the opies
Marcel1229Grape Juice is acidic, I know that Grape Juice + Creatine is a no no, but I don't know about dbol
its grapefruit juice theres a link at top of my post with an article on it.
I think you're thinking of citric acid man. I always liked taking it with a little apple juice, and a lot of people like grape juice too.
grape juice plus creatine = no no??
I always use grape juice wtf where did you hear this???
that's what I thought. That's the original way they promoted it, drink it with a simple sugar/ grape juice is best..........I've never heard anything change on that.
Check the link at top of the post its got an article on it.
BirmonThink he meant grapefruit juice.
There is evidence that a chemical in grapefruit juice inhibit a cytochrome enzyme known as CYP3A4 .. CYP3A4 is a very important enzyme to degrade things from this system ...
Only certain drugs ( ones that use the CYP3A4 pathway) are effected by grapefruit juice ..
You see MANY steroidal compounds do go by route of CYP3A4 .. which means that you should likely adjust your dose( if using grapefruit juice).. Or you could see GREATLY increased effects .. Keep in mind though as potency is increased. So is the potential of side effects ..Hence why on a lot of bi-polar medications they say do not take with grapefruit juice. I also think DNP may be affected by this pathway, so you don't really want enhanced DNP effects.
HOWEVER Dbol is cheap as chips, its probably not worth adjusting your dose to a lower dose because of grapefruit juice, there is also the possibility of non responders as with everything. So if you want to try it, then try it. You might find you get better effects, you might end up with more sides, but if you add up the cost of dbol versus grapefruits/grapefruit juice. I think it works out cheaper just to pop another dbol tab
Spot on explination, this also works in conjunction with almost every prescription drug or over the counter drug etc...Pain killers and GFJ are a bad combo. Blocking an enzyme amplifies the blood concentration of the compound.
I think I read this also has a small affect on alcohol and BAC levels but Im not sure I dont recall if that specific enzyme interacts wtih alcohol molecules or not.
nicely put its mad tho how certain things work in synergy with each other
I used to drink opium poppy tea for pain and drink grapefruit juice right after to slow down the breakdown of the morphine. It definitely increases efficacy of certain drugs and it's noticeable. I needed less tea with the juice for the same effect I got drinking more or stronger tea without it.
Never new it had so much potential. Will be having a proper look into it.
juice12345678Only heard of Grapefruit juice affecting SSRI's and MAOI's
Interesting
Its definately worth looking into i would say.
