What works great for me is heavy bench press, military shoulder press, deadlifts, squats and barbell rows. Heavy, heavy weights are the key to muscle mass....as well as a sound diet!

Bench press, front squats and dips all are best mass building exercises. Every bodybuilder should keep these mass building exercises in mind and try these for mass building.

You might wanna just switch up your routine for a couple of weeks if you hit a wall. Go with high reps (up to 30) and low rest.

Tom Platz used to do crazy shit like this. 405 lb squats for 30 reps. That's just insane.

I once read an article that if you did nothing but squat for an entire year your arms would still grow 2 inches that how much an effect squats has on the entire body

Mate basic compound movements are the key. Consistancy in the gym and a great meal plan are needed for the exercises to be able to build the muscle. I have read the responses and one person touched on the right method in regards to continually changing your training. Number of reps really doesn't mean shit. If you are training with intensity and consistency then things should happen. I am continually changing between drop sets and rest pause to keep intencity high and every now and then I will also introduce negatives. The other factor is rep speed as well needs to be changed as it's realy all about time under tension.

thanks pal am taking it on board going to mix my normal training and throw compounds into the mix as i have been doing a set routine for a while now so gonna change. Smile

I got a question related to this. When on cycle is it best to do high reps or low reps for building mass? Iv heard conflicting answers on this, could anybody clear my head?

crayon's picture

So your saying its the same on cycle as it is natural

Well when your on juice your tendons dont grow as fast as your muscles so to prevent tendon injury i was going to throw in some high rep workouts to help them play catch up and i also heard from a few places high reps on juice is good for muscle mass, kinda need some eroid gurus in this topic to sort facts from myths Blum 3

bigjrock's picture

Well I would say your most common compound movements. Bench Press, Deadlifts and squats.
