I recently filtered my gear using a PES filter which is incompatable with benzyl benzoate or benzyl alcohol. I needed a PTFE filter... is my gear ruined or can I still pin?

Have you tried a PEZ filter?? Pre load it with orals and it's cycle on baby.

I'm no expert on this, but you should be sure you know what you're doing before using gear you messed with!
I always use a used oil filter. Does the trick every time!

PallMallWhy did you have to filter it in the first place...ba and bb are preservatives and sterilization agents though to answer your question in is it safe.
It would be at your discretion at this point, did you end up with less volume of liquid than you started with?
If all the ba/bb was pulled out I would think it might fall out of suspension and crystslize
My prop and test crashed....but my other vials look fine, what I'm worried about is that degraded filter membrane got into the final product

Well I had all the sterile lab equipment to do it, and have experience in preparing medications/reconstitution/mixing in clean rooms. So I wanted to make my own mixes a test/deca 125mg ea per ml. But transfering over to my new vials I wanted to keep things as sterile as possible so I used filters....the wrong filters which were burned out by the solvents.
On top of that I very paranoid about heavy metal contamination from raw powders some filters have chelating properties

Nitti made a FILTERING post. Follow his instructions. Anything after that is goofy. Non compatible etc etc. Why buy crap gear that needs filtering? Also tge microns of a filter cannot remove ba bb or eo etc. Youre chatting bout microscopic shit...yet you claim brewing knowledge? You sound like a federal agent to me sir. Carry on. unless you expect us to believe that every time you order gear from a src you re-filter it and transfer to you're own bottles??? do this new bottles have your own new labels on them as well?

Next time find a lab you trust and buy a test e/deca blend (they always come in equal parts) and just work out what you proportion of a ml you need to take to dose 125mg of each. There are plenty of fantastic UGL labs out there - some even have videos posted of their production facilities. Ask some questions of the sources SI’s or in PM and see the responses you get back on filtering done by the lab etc. At the end of the day these are UGL steroids and there will always be some risk. I’m all for risk mitigation (I think your intentions admirable) but sometimes one can overthink these things and end up with a poor result. Now go and throw those vials in the trash and order yourself some new gear. Good luck.
