Do you lose all results?

ad

I used roids when I was 21 for a few months. Now im 26, and am considering another cycle. When I did them 5 years ago, I knew nothing about diet and nutrition, and did not do a post cycle. I lost pretty much everything I gained when I stopped my cycle after being on for about 6 months. My question is... with a proper diet and exercise regimen, would I still lose everything I gained after I finish a cycle? I don't want to do it again if ill just lose everything. I have an extremely hard time gaining muscle naturally, even with proper diet, exercise and a top notch trainer... Im a fairly slender guy who everyone says looks in shape. I gained A LOT of weight on my cycles at 21. How do you keep as much of the muscle as possible (even after PCT)? And how much do you keep if you do it right with proper diet and exercise?

The reason people lose their gains is because they stop training hard and eating like they did while they were on cycle.

Answering your question is actually a little more complicated than I think you realize. When it comes down to keeping your “gains” it can happen if they’re “real gains”.

Now when I say that there’s a big difference between running a 12-20 week cycle with cleaner compounds and building lean muscle. Compared to using wetter/dirty compounds and putting on water weight and fat with little to no muscle.

As an example: Will dbol or Anadrol blow you up in 4 weeks? YES! but are you going to keep those “gains”? No of course not because it wasn’t real muscle added.

With clean compounds and a good solid diet and a realistic goal you can keep what you gained.

Your body will not maintain anything without the juice. You will not maintain it. You will not look as ripped not as big. Anyone that’s says other wise is a liar.

Wait, so everyone else who commented is wrong about being able to maintain if the right amount of food, exercise, and PCT is done?

Bulkdaddy's picture

You can PCT your test levels will go back to normal but also your muscle too. You won’t have the 3D look. So you will not look the same or no where near it.

Im fine with looking nowhere near the same, but trying to figure out how to at least keep some muscle gains. You're the first person on this thread that says theres no way to keep any of what you gained. What do you think in regards to what everyone else on this thread has said?

He's right, you may stay slightly heavier in build after cycling with a bit more strength as long as you keep training hard but generally a lot of what is built on gear is eventually lost. Think about this - If you cycle 500mg Test & 400mg Deca for example then go back down to the bodies peak natural Test level of around 50mg a week at best, how can you possibly support muscle that was built on your body being nearly 20 times more anabolic? Scientifically it is just not possible. Hence why people keep cycling - 2 steps forward, then 1 step back after PCT then 2 steps forward again on cycle and so on....

But if you’re taking one step back after two steps forward, that’s about half the results you’re keeping lol. I’m looking to do it for about a year (repeating a cycle and then following pct). I’m 165lbs eating clean. And 175 currently eating poorly since it’s the holiday season. Once I get back to 165lbs, I just want to gain 20lbs of muscle that I can keep. I don’t care about any extra so much. It seems realistic to at least keep 20lbs (given proper diet, training, and pct) after a certain amount of time. You wouldn’t agree?

rageracing's picture

You have any idea how much 20lbs of real muscle is or looks like? You live in a fantasy land if you think you will gain 20lbs of muscle period.....lol.

How much you lose will also be based on your cycle and what kind of weight you put on. If you run a cycle thats "wet" ie: deca/npp, dbol, adrol, etc you gonna lose alot because your gonna gain alot of water weight and glycogen retention. Dont be so worried about the scale a look at what the mirror tells you. 6-8 lbs of REAL muscle mass is a big visual difference. Eat clean but in a surplus and lift like you fucking mean it!! All the gear in the world wont do shit if you dont break down that muscle tissue and feed the animal.

You can keep some of your gains after a cycle, but it depends a lot of good PCT, and maintaining discipline in the gym and out.

You will lose some, but you should keep some also if you do the above properly.

smithmrtt8's picture

I hear this answer a lot, but my question is the degree of "some." The some that I keep, is it enough for me to even notice a difference? Also, check out my question in two of the comments below about staying at your genetic limit after a cycle. Id love to hear your opinion on that.

A top notch trainer huh. Trade him in for a coach or dietitian cause apparently you dont have your macros figured out yet
I agree with the below info saying your not eating enough
Whatever your eating now !!! EAT MORE
on cycle EAT MORE THAN THAT
Then after cycle EAT MORE THAN ON CYCLE to maintain the new weight. My qucik math is gona have you eating ATLEAST 4,000 calories aday EVERDAY OF YOUR LIFE

Ill ask you the same question as the other guy. "So from my understanding, when you start using roids, you go beyond your genetic limit. When you stop (properly) you will lose everything above your genetic limit, and just stay where your genetic limit is (again, given proper PCT, diet, and exercise). As long as I do everything properly, wont this be the case?"

If you slack off you will lose everything...
Eample i know a guy who started juicing at 140 lbs and did 3 cycles and slacked off and lost everything. Now fith cycle in finally grew up learned diet AFTER cycle and now off cycle he maintains 184 pounds. On no steroids
It took him 6 years only cause it took him sooo long to get it in his head YOU HAVE TO EAT TO MAINTAIN the new weight after cycle

Wouldnt it suck to be the best you can be and then no longer be that anymore once you stop... Im looking for tips/advice on how to maximize results once im finished. Also the reason why im on here, so I can learn more.

smithmrtt8's picture

So you're saying that if I gain an extra 10lbs from roids, ill be able to keep it, but only if id be able to have gotten that extra 10lbs naturally?

smithmrtt8's picture

So from my understanding, when you start using roids, you go beyond your genetic limit. When you stop (properly) you will lose everything above your genetic limit, and just stay where your genetic limit is (again, given proper PCT, diet, and exercise). So my trainer had me on a diet plan. Eating clean, I was about 165 lbs. the past month of eating terribly, i'm 175 lbs (the max I've ever been able to get even with eating junk food all the time). I'm going to cut in the new year back down to 165 and then try bulking again. So after I get an idea of how much to eat, that would be a good time for me to consider a cycle?
