Acne on gear
I'm looking at getting other people's experiences and knowledge around acne on gear because I've had a severe breakout on my chest. I started gear about a year ago, started at a moderate test dose for a couple months then began a proper cycle with 500 test and a couple other compounds. Skin was pretty much fine for all of it. During the last month and a half of that cycle, I accidentally ran 2g of test weekly for ~6 weeks because I stupidly stored a test 400 vial in the same drawer as my test 100. My blood work was perfectly fine and skin was perfectly fine, surprisingly. I then started a cruise at 250mg a week, after a couple months on the cruise dose the breakout occurs out of nowhere, within a week or 2 my chest is covered in lesions caused by the acne. I got my bloodwork, and everything is in range and ratios of test/estrogen were all good. I can't seem to wrap my head around how I'm fine running 2g but then 250mg causes the worst breakout I've ever seen

Everyone is different, but hormone fluctuations are probably why... Kinda like we all wonder why half of the IFBB Pros don't have crazy acne... It's because they never come off they are on all year long; while also getting their bloodwork more often than the average gear bro like me and you...
Once consideration is the carrier oil used - I had a cystic acne reaction to pharmacy bought test c with what I believe is cottonseed oil. No reaction from UGL test c even using twice the amount, but different carrier oil. Apparently cottonseed oil can cause an inflammatory response in some people and perhaps that combined with the hormone fluctuation / surge caused my issue.
My buddy had this issue and he hopped on some accutane and it cleared it right up.
Very similar boat. Did a run of 400test and 100eq. Everything was fine but towards the end I got my first bit of chest acne. Decided I got what I needed for now and switched to trt dose. Then the cystic acne hit. Boils and leaking puss was horrible. Tried every online treatment I could read. Tanning, Pyrithione Zinc, etc. checked bloods and fine.
Finally went to a dermatologist and am now on accutane. Finally seeing some relief. Has taken months and the driest lips on earth. Curious to see how the accutane holds up for my next cycle I’m planning
Yeah I saw a dermatologist and got put on accutane as well. I'm convinced it's just luck of the draw when it comes to acne, my brother has run way more insane cycles and been on gear for years, never had acne as bad as me
