What are your thoughts about anxiety and AAS usage? Have any of you experienced this? If so what compounds have caused this?
I have not experienced this personally, but while I have been researching, trying to learn as much as possible, when I came across this issue.

Awesome summary - well said.
Umm...dude. High blood pressure can induce panic. It may not be clinical diagnosed anxiety but it's anxiety brought on by an outside influence and is anxiety none the less.
Ive seen it and experienced it.
Rustyhooker+2 for a great debate! Biological, psychological and individual differences will be the factors in gear and issues.
RustyhookerI can understand the frustration. It's like some folks quoting Dr scally on blood work where 600 mg must always translate to 6000 on blood tests. In a lab with perfect setting and no real world changes....maybe. But it's true in humans per bloods posted daily that you may hit 6000 whereas I hit 3400.
Those ideals and studies bring great thinking, debates and plans for future cycles. Was anyone wrong? Nope! Good standpoint from all angles. I'm sure folks learned. I did.
RustyhookerAverage summer here is 90-110 and if I'm on cycle it's a challenge. You're area equally so. I couldn't imagine the heat plus humidity...I'd die. Lol
It's been a good read! Thanks to all for contributing
RustyhookerDefinitly sir! But in our life style the checklist multiplies and makes your job at in taking patients harder. Not only do you have the overt but the covert symptoms they're not telling you about. Lol. Oh, the joy!
On here giving advice is difficult as well. 25 year old that's really 18 and doing coke off hooker asses every weekend wants clen, tren, and base. The things they don't tell us. Testosterone raises heart rate then multiplied with fat burners/beta 2, the user has 140 bpm resting. Happened many times in forums . Lol
RustyhookerSometimes eq just gets me a lil high strung, easily excitable. So far, bad anxiety/fear hasn't played into the scenario.
I work in the sun so bp is a tricky scenario. Typically, Americans have a high salt pre made food diet which you know can spike the bp. Keeping a clean diet for me means the salt is sweated out faster than intake. The balance can be a game. If it's uber hot, I'll eat sunflower seeds with the reduced sodium sticker on the bag. I also eat potassium foods.
Most simple way for me is if I'm retaining water, my hands or feet get that puffy feel. Just like if I had a too salty meal. Retaining water can be the salt or estro got wacky. A guru on here told me to hit 500 mg vitamin c. Natural diuretic. Dose can be raised to 500 am and 500 pm if needed.
If I'm not puffy but bp goes up its needing hydration. I just try to keep hydrated and the body is good about keeping balance. If we flush the body too fast, aldosterone raises and holds onto water. Adding too many outside influence can keep the balance out of balance. The fast flush leads to one hell Uva headache too.
Basically, every morning I take my vitamin c, eat banana near noon. There's many potassium foods that belong in our diets. If we work in the sun, salt stops sunstroke. The military over in the desert eats salt tabs. A gallon a day is easy but for me 1.5 gallons will fast flush and big headache. It is a balance for sure. It does require daily tweaking depending on climate.
RustyhookerDebates are awesome and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Some of the medical practices are lacking in that many doctors simply throw meds at you and out the door. Never even listened to the patient. Lol
Thank you for taking the time to gather this information. Trying to learn as much as I can.
RustyhookerSemantics. Yessir, both can present similarly. Exactly why vets try to warn newbs when they want to hit tren and eq. Both raise rbc dramatically and anxiety is common.
good debates in here! its good to get multiple people sharing, plus 1s to gear head, rusty and jinto.

Exerpt,
T he human body is thought to consist of 10 inter-related systems. More than half of these 10 complex systems are involved in the production of anxious and fearful symptoms:
These six systems are responsible for the physiological, electrical, and chemical changes that cause and affect the manifestation of anxiety symptoms. Explanations of these various systems can become quite complicated. Our goal is to highlight the areas that are most important for understanding the origins of anxiety symptoms

Exerpt,
Medical Conditions. Although causal relationships have not been established, certain medical conditions have been associated with increased risk of panic disorder. They include migraines, obstructive sleep apnea, mitral valve prolapse, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic fatigue syndrome, and premenstrual syndrome

indeed, im just glad to see debates staying related to the topics! its good to see!!
Doesn't much matter to me, bro. I seriously doubt that the American Heart Association is using the term anxiety improperly or in a way outside of its DSM IV context and presenting a medical opinion everywhere except when they use the word "anxiety" they suddenly depart from the DSM and use the word in lay terms. As a medical organization they contend that high BP can cause anxiety - the psychological term and meaning. It is no different than if the Mayo clinic rendered the same opinion. You may be a medical doctor yourself and perhaps even a psychiatrist, I don't know. I have experienced "anxiety" from very high BP and the American Heart Association concurs that it happens. I was just trying to help people understand the questions presented as you are.
RustyhookerReality check here is that the drugs we use at the doses we use are not under any "medical" guidelines, testings, etc. I still have yet to see any short or long term tests clinically on tren or eq. Both veterinary steroids.
But I do know that common sence shows blood gets thicker when we dehydrate and that sat/potassium are critical in those balances.
On cycle if I get dehydrated I get irritable, sleepy and anxious. Followed with the head pressure and "whooshing" in the ears. Each time I check my bp when the whooshing starts it's around 140.
So, my small opinion is you're correct. And until medical professionals start human tests on tren, eq etc....I can only follow my med training and 20 years common sence.
RustyhookerNope. I get anxiety when bp spikes. Nothing new. Then I hydrate proper and blood THIS and bp drops. You're confusing your check lists bro. Research hematocrit and use common sence. Less water and more rbc....bp spikes. Water RETENTION is not my reference but water retention causes hypertension.
good write up, tren over stimulates the central nervous system and wreaks havok on lipids and blood sugar levels, this also causes anxiety, havent seen anybody mention one of our enemies!- cortisol- stress hormone lol. + 1
Maintaining proper magnesium levels in the body is a huge factor in controlling cortisol. I wrote a post on it earlier.
yes indeed, its a good post too! cortisol-stress-anxiety.
The relationship between blood pressure and anxiety is not set in stone. Certainly anxiety itself can elevate BP but it also seems in some that high BP can make one feel anxious.
See: http://www.heart.org/HEARTORG/Conditions/HighBloodPressure/SymptomsDiagn...
From the American Heart Association link above:
In addition to extreme readings, a person in hypertensive crisis may experience:
Severe headaches
Severe anxiety
Shortness of breath
Nosebleeds
The reference here is to extremely high BP. However, some steroid stacks can raise BP to the levels that would create a hypertensive crisis
i think to a point AAS can give anxiety but i think AAS just amplifies every aspect of how a person already is. ime, AAS amplifies moods, anxiety being one of them, anger, happiness, lust, irritability, sadness... everything. so does it cause anxiety? i dont think so, the elevated BP caused by some compounds certainly can increase the chances of anxiety related sides. but personally i get more anxiety from taking too much stimulants like caffiene, DMAA, yohimbine, or clen. these things ime cause more anxiety from the stimulation of the CNS than AAS ever has for me.
This, Clen gives me insane anxiety, so dose high doses of caffine..
Yet to notice Anxiety on AAS altho ive only run test so far
Most my anxiety comes from waiting on intnl packs. :(
Trenbolone has a nice reputation for producing anxiety even full blown panic attacks. It is really the only mood altering steroid in the arsenal. What makes Tren even a greater challenge is that the same person can run it multiple times with no psych sides and then the next run is hell on earth.
EQ can produce mild anxiety in some although this side is somewhat rare when compared to Tren.
The rest of the AAS compounds are not noted for psych sides, but like Rusty said below, if your running anything that jacks your BP you may get some sides - irritability for example is common.
I don't subscribe to the notion that a normal mild mannered guy is gonna experience roid rage as it's called. That guy who is already an ass when off can sometimes become a bigger ass when on - but again I think Rusty's point about BP governs here to some extent as well.
I totally agree on the tren. I don't normally have anxiety and never have. But once in a while after I do my injection about a hour after oh boy!! I get it big time. It'll last for a hour or two. It's strange because this is something that's just started in the last year, and it's not every time. Maybe one in five injections. But other than that I'm fine on it.
RustyhookerYessir, tren can be a mind full of garbage. It's not on my top list of gear. It works but....wow.
RustyhookerIf I get anxiety feelings it's usually my blood pressure. Anyone running gear should have a home bp monitor. BP can spike for many reasons such as dehydration, blood is thicker. Salt intake too high. Et c
