suggestions for opening amps

Hello fellow eroiders I hope that everyone is having a great holiday season. Not sure if this is the correct place to post this but I could use some knowledge from some experienced members. I have never dealt with amps before only vials. Any advice on opening them without causing mess or injury? I have absolutely no experience with them. It's not an issue I think I will have to deal with enough to invest in a amp opener so any advice on the subject would be appreciated. Thanks and happy New year!

StevebWrap an alcohol wipe around the neck of it. It will collect any tiny shards of glass and protect your hand from getting cut. Then just hold it with one hand and snap it off with the other.
this is what I do too. I put the top of the amp inside the wipes packet myself.
Triangle file. Cost a dollar or two. Score the neck once. Apply a touch of pressure and it pops clean off. No worries about breaks or small shards of glass.
bigmurphScore the amp with a knife and the pen cap on top helps also they make amp openers which I have one and its great it scores the amp then I just Crack the top right off
Interesting. Never thought of that. Members like you sir are the reason this site is so amazing. I assume you mean put the top of the amp in the cap and snap it off?
