What length to pin
ad
I always pin my delts with a 25g 1inch and it’s never an issue and never bothers me . I was debating on starting to pin my glutes to give my delts a break . I ordered some 1.5 inch but it seems so long . Can you pin glutes with 1 inch or will it not go deep enough to get into the muscle . Just looking for input on pin lengths for each site people use

I use 25ga x 1.5” in glutes
I’ve pinned glutes & quads with 23-25g 1” pins for years and never had an issue… so FWIW, I think you’ll be fine!
Is it just me or something? I use 23 gauge and by accident i have used the 21 gauge draw needle a few times but i literally feel nothing and dont cringe when i stick needle in ventrogluteal.
I am currently using 25G (2.54cm) E3.5D needles to inject into the ventrogluteus. I first warm the vial with a little hot water, insert, inhale slightly, and inject.
I noticed that on the right side the pips are greater than on the left and I feel muscle discomfort, a sign that it has gone deep enough?
Reading your comments, a 1.5" [3.81 cm] needle could also be good for that part of the body (buttock in my case). In your opinion, a 25G (2.54cm) is fine as a size or Is it better to opt for 1.5" [3.81 cm] to go deeper? I've always had the opinion "thicker needle = bigger pip" so I'm following the 25G (2.54cm) rules. Can I continue with this 25g in your opinion?
25g 1" is pretty much all I use
Good length, Good Girth - Not too big and not too small
Plus you get access to some areas others don't ....
...no homo
LMAO
I pin almost 3cc with 1" needle into ventrogluteal. 23 gauge needle. Very little fat there. 1" is plenty. 1 1/2" for fat guy. Plus i think some of you are pinning your actually butt cheek. Thats not ideal area. Also, no need to aspirate. Dont just take it from me, the random guy on the internet. Up to you to actually read for yourself from reputable medical source available on the internet everywhere.
I run the 5/8" length for delts due to that location's near zero fat content...I also prefer a 27g to pin any area above the waist but this requires patience & a steady hand as the 27s definitely take some time to bottom out, but they definitely seem sharper for some reason & almost sneak in (could totally be a mental thing but a little comfort in this regard goes a long way)...also warming products slightly will decrease time pushing & any pip that follows. For glutes I definitely run the 1.5" length given the amount of adipose (fat) tissue in that region. Little difference in gauge size IMO & I run a 25g upto 1cc or a 23g beyond...given the size of the glute muscle group & the fact I get less discomfort & sharpness here when compared to the smaller muscle groups.
So a 5/8 pin is deep enough in the delts ?
If you’re lean I’d day yes. Use limp fingers and a quality needle, you will feel when you’re muscle tissue. Then you bury it, pull pack ever so slightly from the base of the needle and press the plunger.
Yes wit the one inch in my delt I know when I hit muscle because it goes through the fat layer easy then when I hit muscle I have to push it into it
Same thing with the Glutes
As long as the volume is low
I honestly use short pins and inject daily. I alternate delts/quads/glutes using 28g .5cc 1/2 inch. No deadspace, keeps my levels steady, and no pip.
I’m carrying some extra fat right now on my bulk, no issues hitting gluts with a 1/2 inch.
I do add about 3cc of air to each vial to build positive pressure, and warm the vials in my pocket for 10-15 minutes prior to drawing.
I use 1/2” for everything, as well. I’m pretty lean and have had zero issues, even doing glutes.
I like 1&1/2 in glutes and 5/8 in delts , pecs, traps.
What is everyones favorite brand of pins.
The last ones i got sucked
Imo the best brand of luer lock syringes is BD but they’re expensive @ $2 each. I went with easy touch luer lock & easy touch 27g & 30g 1/2” for subq. I ordered BD precision glide 18g & 25g for the luer lock, all on Amazon. Easy touch is a brand I’ve used for years. For the price, I think they’re the best. The BD needles for luer lock are BD, so no issues there. All of them can be bought in boxes of 100. The luer locks are individually wrapped. The regular 27&30g come in bags of 10, not individually wrapped but has never been an issue.
Buddy I also fell into the Expensive Luer Lock trap for many years paying through the nose for barrels thinking it was the only way to safely inject without the needle turning into a shooting harpoon!! The trick is to use a Luer Slip barrel and when you connect the needle used for injecting, turn it down and round simoultaneously till it locks and will no longer twist round. When it is that tight it will no longer shoot off the end anymore.
I never have had any issues with luer locks blowing off. Someone else in the comments did, wasn’t me though. I only got 10 of the BD ones because that’s what my pharmacy had at the time, my doc ordered 100 and they were like your total is $214.xx. I said uhh can I just have 10? Lmao. Then I ordered what I listed on Amazon and haven’t looked back. Yeah, they’re not as thick as BD syringes, but they’re sharp (the 27 & 30g), the luer lock has easy to read lines in .01 increments, and the luer lock needles are BD…so I’m not worried about those.
And I apologize. I made a mistake. The only thing I got on Amazon where the easytouch luer lock syringes. $13 for a box of 100. Everything else I got from vitalitymedical.com. It was $42 with shipping for 100 BD 18g, 100 BD 25g, and 100 27g easytouch 1/2”.
Oh also the 18g and 25g needles come individually wrapped, as well.
Nipro and Terumo manufacture good pins. I would never go cheap on something that is literally penetrating my body.
Whatever Amazon has, decent 3Ml barrels and Leur lock needles. Always have to mix and match.
No way - the one time I went cheap and ordered some barrels off Ebay I got the worst bunch of crap ever!! The barrels stuck like nobodies business and the markings were a nightmare to read. Use a proper medical outlet is my advice on this one. Irony is I actually did an order earlier this evening!
Hold on, I’m literally walking back to my drawer right low lol. Ok, global easy glide barrels, and Turemo, and CaReach needles.
I've honestly never heard of Global easy glide barrels or CaReach needles lol
The place I get my bits from sells surgical scalpels, doctors beds/screens and all sorts.
BD Microfine pins and Terumo Barrels
Do you have a site.
I got a site brother if you’re in the states. These guys are fast and legit!
I am
Not sure if they post to the US mate or what the laws are regarding needles and barrels coming in are but here it is:

Thanks press
A lot of this depends on bodyweight and also height/weight ratio imo. If you are around 220 plus then I am sure sticking a 1.5" in the ass seems like no big deal at all as you will have plenty of muscle/fat in that area. Guys of average height up to 200lb's and a little over are going to be better with 1" I think. It will also depend on the esters you are using as to which you prefer to use - I cannot imagine anyone even the big guys are going to fancy pinning with a 1.5" needle ED of the week, you are going to want to use the smallest and finest you can get away with without it lumping up. I am 200 and always use a 1" in the glute, never get lumps using that size. If I use a 5/8" then there is a 50 / 50 chance it will lump up these days. Volume of injection is also something to consider too - the more oil there is the deeper you should go. Ooooh Deeper Darling Deeper ..... Lmao
But don’t you have a nice firm little ass like a 12 year old boy? And buttery smooth?
Thank God they banned you from coaching the choir boys in church.
Delts 1”, glutes 1.5” for me. I gave up on quads a long time ago, I’d hit a nerve almost every other injection. As Makwa said, don’t be intimidated by a 1.5” needle, they may look intimidating but anything you need to be concerned about is much deeper. They will use that length on children over a body weight. There’s doctors going the sub-q route, I’m sure there’s something to it, but I haven’t had much luck with it myself. Just keep sterility in mind at every step of your injection, and I personally recommend aspiration, it’s a quick back pull and will save you a headache.
Do people still aspirate now adays. I feel liek even nurses don't do that. Not saying its not a good practice.
Newbie question here - I apologize lol. What exactly is aspirate?
it's pronounced "ass pirate." It's when after you stick it in, you pull out to check for blood.
Gotcha. I knew about that, just didn’t know what it was called. Now I know what ass pirating is Lolol thank you
I aspirate every single time I pin
Just a guess, you or a family member, maybe girlfriend or wife, works in healthcare?
Do you Ass Pirate bro?
Only on the second Wednesday of each month, and I do wear an eye patch whilst doing so.
So how do you judge how deep you go in if you lose your depth perception by wearing the patch?
My fiancé is a surgical Tech , but my buddy who got me into injectable test who did it for me the first time told me to always aspirate
You are correct, everyone in medical field doesn't aspirate.
My bad @Drexyl when I said everyone I meant not everyone, meaning some do and some don't. Everyone implies that they all do. Bad wording by me lol.
I got ya bro, this is why you’re as solid as they come. Much love my bro
