I love Anavar and have been using it on and off for years. Dont expect huge gains but do expect strength and Vascularity. As others mention I always combine it with some sort of test

Howabout some stats? Age, height, bodyfat%, active physical job, diet, sexual orientation, male/female, eye colour, etc.

2 were a joke in case you have zero sense of humour.

38 year old male I work as a firefighter in a busy department at a busy station. I average 12-14, 24hr shifts a month. I do understand that regulating sleep is the number one component to getting good progress as well as hitting the proper calorie surplus. I started this question in trying to gather information if this would be a viable route for me in trying. I train 4-5 days a week very consistently. About a year ago I started taking it serious again and am just wanting to see a quick bump to my strength and little bit to my size. I am no where near what I used to be in both size and strength and I understand that age, kids, lack of sleep, work all play a factor in that. I appreciate the info and help being given.

Also if you wanted a date all you had to do was ask Robb --

ooohh, Robb, he's a firefighter... you better grab him up quick.

One other quick question... Which month are you on the calendar? Asking for Robb.

Anavar by itself is a bad idea as it will shut down your natural testosterone production. I'd recommend getting your test levels checked/blood work and if low, look into Doctor prescribed TRT. Or you should fine tune your diet and training regimen, making sure it's at its optimal and at the level best you can possibly accomplish. Oral only is a bad idea. Testosterone is base and don't run anything without it. Anavar only cycle is a waste of time and money, plus it will absolutely tank your good cholesterol and wreak havoc on blood lipid values. The results will be very short lived and will quickly disappear upon discountinuation and you will be back at square one with test levels that are shot all to hell. Good luck

Thanks so much for taking the time to educate me and help me out. To give a little back story I did some blood work through a male hormone optimization clinic and my testosterone was in the 700s. I was prescribed ipamorelin and L carnitine injectable along with low dose cialis daily. After about a week of injecting it crossed my mind that I could have just tried an anabolic cycle. In your opinion what would be a good starting cycle for someone who has never been on anabolics. I’d like to keep it minimalist if that’s even possible. Thanks again for your help

The mean total testosterone of men 20-44 years old is 466. You're 38 years old with levels of 700. You're being bilked by that "male hormone optimization clinic".

akiraryan02's picture

Not sure I could be reading the lab results wrong too. Under total testosterone it says 705.4 with a normal range of 264-916. Under that mentions free testosterone at 17.56 with a normal range of 5-21. Under that shows percent free testosterone at 2.49. Labs could be incorrect or I could be misled by the clinic are possibilities. I was only reporting on what I read in the results sent back to me.

here's your lab report in line form...

Low end | 264---------------------------------------------------705.4-----------------916 | High end

Free T low end | 5----------------------------------------------------------17.56---21 | Free T high end

Your levels are on the high side of normal... what's more, they are above the median range for men your age.

Greg's picture

Your labs are right, your clinic, a for profit business, is misleading you. Your levels are very good for your age. Probably because you're more fit than most your age.

Ipamorelin is a growth hormone-releasing peptide (GHRP) you can buy GHRP's from almost any source for a fraction of what I'm sure they are selling it. L-carnitine is a naturally occurring amino acid and is sold as a supplement almost everywhere.

Neither of those products will help your testosterone levels.

Taking testosterone will suppress your own levels. after doing a cycle, your natural levels may never return to their precycle levels... requiring TRT at some point. Don't ruin a good thing.

If you want to continue your peptide supplement use, explore those options and drop your clinic.

Thanks for the clarification all that makes sense!

You have high total test and high free test. Can't ask for more than that.

Most of us would give our left arm for natty levels in the 700's Lol

700 came back from testing at hormone clinic? I wouldn't mess with those natural numbers just yet. Hone in your diet/training and you'll be golden without having to inject for life, enjoy it while you can bro.

If you’re in the 700s naturally then there’s not much holding you back from gaining muscle or strength other than your diet. Couple things..
If your goal is general health and functional strength for firefighting, then you should probably avoid anabolics in general. Once you start cycling you’re going to add a bunch of new things to manage and if you weren’t able to manage your diet to gain muscle or strength up to this point then you’re really gonna have fatigue for what it takes to use anabolic steroids with relative safety.

On a separate note, if you plan on staying here or continuing down this path, you should really change your handle. It took me two seconds to find you online.

Right on man thanks for the heads up!
