Cruising vs PCT

ad

Wanted to see some opinions on here about cruising/blasting versus running a cycle and then doing PCT. When I decided to take the leap and run testosterone I fully intended on running a PCT after 12 weeks. I’m about 9 weeks in right now and with my constant research I’m thinking just sticking to a low dose testosterone after my cycle might be the best route. My testosterone is normally low to begin with and I have no problem pinning for the rest of my life. I know everyone is different but I think not having the constant fluctuations of hormones on and off cycle is almost safer. What are some opinions you guys have on this? And when I do finish my 12 weeks and start a low dose of test would it be beneficial to take anything else like HCG or tamoxifen or any normal pct drugs?

I had some super serious back surgery 11 years ago. Dr’s sent me home on some serious pain meds which I declined. I asked for a much less dosage of 1 of the 3 drugs. I also got a MMJ card. Fast forward I apply for a $3,000,000 life policy & got shot down . Why ? Prescribed MMJ & prescription pain meds. Took me years of lobbying the life insurance co & having my Dr’s write letters so I could go to sleep at night knowing my family was covered.

I always tell my dr what cycle I’m running but I preface the conversation with “pen down & close my file. This is a off the record talk”

He always obliges.

This issue isn't losing your health insurance so much. It's that if the Dr. puts this in his files/notes it becomes part of your record (ie using a controlled substance, no prescription etc...). Now if you ever try to get life insurance and they review your files, and for decent sized policies they will, you will get nuked on this. Honestly even prescribed and fully documented TRT gave me issues and flat out rejections 5+ years ago. It's more accepted nowadays. Sad state of affairs.

I'm mid-40s and been on Dr. prescribed TRT for a decade. Wasn't out of range but at very low end for sure with high E2. TRT has made a huge difference in quality of life but of course there's a trade off. My thoughts are:

1) If you aren't looking at and have the potential to make a living from BBing and strength sports I'd treat my body right and PCT for as long as I could. At a minimum until I was done having kids. And yes I'm familiar with all the data/treatments to get fertility back.

2) Once you legitimately need TRT, go for it. I didn't think I'd be much of a candidate but made a serious improvement in my life. That said, don't think TRT is all smooth sailing. Things change over time so bloods matter and adjustments made. Tons of threads with people having all kinds of issues. At this point I'm kind of a chemical cocktail, but quality of life is WAY better. If the quality improvement wasn't so dramatic and I had decent test levels, I'd still be PCTing. Hell, I even look forward to cruise periods sometimes of just low dose weekly injections. Gives me a nice break and periods where I focus more on other areas.

I think if you are still in your 20's try and PCT each time, but I would be very surprised if after doing a third cycle you are still able to recover good testosterone levels. 30 and beyond even without using gear your natural test levels are on a good decline compared to being younger - its the one hormone that has a huge impact on the results you see in the gym. To me its all about how much your training means to you and the time you invest in it. If you also put a lot into eating right and meal prepping then why fall short on low test levels especially after cycling, so to me TRT makes a lot of sense. I was personally told by a heart doctor who did an echogram of my heart and that trained himself that the least damaging hormone/steroid to continually take of all of the them was testosterone and even came out with the line of 'test is best' himself in the hospital. BUT if you want to PCT each time because of health reasons or underlying issues you may already have then good on you and I would never discourage people from doing that.

I still have the 8th edition in paper. Talk about a paperweight.

To cycle gear for 20 years, PCT each time and still get good Test levels is very good, almost unheard of. However virtually everyone else I have spoken to after several cycles has low testosterone levels that have never come back fully to what they were, most were a long way off in fact. If people get bloods and can recover fully then credit to them and they should keep doing it for as long as they can Good

I come off without pct or anything. Come off for 3 to 6 months without doing any gear or pct. A few time I went off for only a month but my results suck doing it that way.

It’s not advise it’s just what I prefer to do. I feel god but it doesn’t work for most people.

I've seen guys act macho without PCT and yes some do fine but a good percentage fuck themselves royally!

I've had a serious crash once with a bad PCT that I'm sure I was just eating fake tablets. Had the worse rollercoaster that impacted family life. Never again that's all ill say.

The same symptoms of low T can be attributed to a thousand other health problems but why bother seeing a specialist when you can use webmd?

KMC's picture

Yes, my T is low,............ but my thyroid is nonexistent and we won't even talk about my pituitary.

How come it sucks? I just don’t want to go back to having super low test after I complete a cycle. I would understand if someone doesn’t have low T cruising but I already have natural low T

Don't mind Rusty. He gets Bitchy if he hasn't rubbed one out in the past 15 mins. Bless his heart.

This is true. Plus I get tired of pinning every damn week due to trt. Early 30's and my test levels at 160 and never touched gear at all before then.

When you said you ate pussy previously, I had a whole different thought of what you meant.

I'm about to embrace my moody bitchy-ness when off TRT and be the best girlfriend my wife ever had.

That said. Cruising is frowned upon

IndianaBRICKIE's picture

Okay I’ll start one up. But is it frowned upon even if your testosterone is normally low?
