+ 4 Recomp advice
Looking for some pointers for current recomp. Been in a recomp for the past 4 months, diet is clean and I’ve been in a 350-450 calorie deficit the entire time. Started off 195lbs, 5’7”and only really the usual love handles,
Currently 175 and still have some love handles, just not as much, I’m pretty lean everywhere else. I have lost quite a bit of fat down and gained lean muscle and my clothes definately fit different.
I lift and do cardio 6 days a week, I run a 3/1 split. I do not use any peptides, and just recently started running my first cycle (300mg Test E) daily injections. Been off the past couple years due to some injuries that are now 100% g2g.
But I can tell after over 4 months of a strict diet, consistent lifting/cardio that I was hoping to be 12-15% BF instead of mid 20’s. For the ones who have went down this path, how did/do you stay focused and really knock the fat off?

Daily injects of enth is bullshit. Read @makwas forums on diet recomp etc. It's a good route on learning and moving forwards. Click on his name ...forums....boom!
Stairs...my gym is hit lvl 6 and go for 60mins after workout.

DocMcGainsThe last time I did a hard cut I got all the way down to 1800 kcal/day. I was hungry and irritable, and my weight loss stalled. My sleep sucked, gym performance was down, quality of life generally declined. I had been hoping to get sub 10% but my body was pumping cortisol and it was clear that I was not going to lose much more without further compromising performance and further cutting. So I did a slow reverse diet out of the deficit, increasing daily intake by about 200kcal a day every two weeks until I hit a maintenance. I pushed my maintenance higher and added some additional muscle, and so now that I'm cutting again, I'm eating 3000kcal a day (which is a breeze) and losing about a pound a week. Results vary, but you might try giving your body a break, reverse dieting for a phase to reset, increase your metabolic baseline, and then restart the diet.
Also Reta helps, 2-3mg a week is plenty.
Good timing , that’s exactly what I have been doing for the past 2 weeks, went back up to maintenance with calories and I definitely have way more energy, lifts are better, cardio is better and mentally it made a huge difference. Plan on holding here another week or so and then drop 200k and reevaluate progress.
I know the feeling.. it feels like you are not getting anywhere HOWEVER... I've been looking at it like a bowl of Rice Crispies. Every day you eat healthy/work out, its like you are removing 5-10 Rice Crispies. You really don't know notice the bowl is "emptier" until you get to the bottom (in this metaphor its 14-15% body fat).
Consistency.... love handles and the belly fat is the last to go. It has something to do with how our ancestors evolved as a species. The one way you know you are still losing it is the fat gets softer and more jelly-like. Its actually more gross to look at but the fat molecules are slowly breaking down. You will see some abs in no time.. dont budge
Dude, I was just noticing this the other day, my stomach has never been this soft, like you said, it’s almost like some soft jelly shit. I was like WTF
yea.. the "hard fat" is the shit you need to be worried about. When you think about it, it makes sense. I guarantee in 2-3 weeks you will immediatly drop like 6-8 pound sin one day. That's gonna be all the water in the "jiggly" fat.
Consistency is the key brother. Slow and steady wins the race its a marathon not a sprint. Take them little wins each and every day and turn them in to motivation!
You won't stay like this forever once you get lean and I mean truly lean it is alot easier going forward to get lean in the future.
Stick to the plan, keep doing what your doing, take rest days when needed, set yourself a daily step count, track every macro and make a note of every session. When everything is tracked if you stall you can look over everything and even minor changes will make a huge difference
I keep up with everything, and it’s helped me out for sure. Been carnivore for 4-5 months and cut quite a bit of weight. I changed things up this morning hoping to shock my body a little. Cutting my fats in half to 50g and starting with carbs again, hoping this will change my mindset and how my body reacts. Gotta say, after 1/2 cup of rice last night, and a shake this morning with blueberries, oatmeal, and a scoop of whey protein, I felt like my body sucked up all the carbs and felt energized for a change. Gonna run this for the next 4-5 months and see how things go
Gainz411Great job, brother! I’ve lost over 100 pounds about 8 years ago. Took me 2 years. If your body feels it’s hit a plateau maybe it’s time to take several weeks off from the diet. Eat at maintenance and then when you feel good again, get back at losing weight.
Keep up the good work.
