At what point does “more gear = more muscle” become a terrible trade for the average lifter?

Does more muscle require progressively more drugs, or do diminishing returns make that a bad trade? I keep seeing guys casually posting their weekly dose of AAS, and many have been 2g or more like it’s just another day at the gym. I'm not flaming a guy for what or how much gear he's running, but I have a genuine question, is more gear better?? For the average lifter, I think the real debate isn't whether more gear can produce more muscle. It probably can. The more interesting question is whether the additional muscle is worth the diminishing returns and increasing risk that come with continually pushing exposure higher. If you're not competing professionally, where would you personally draw that line?
If you’re not competing professionally, how much is enough? And at what point are you taking way more gear for way less return?

Curious where people actually draw the line.

LoL, still love ya dude. And you have a handle on ur shit, Im really curious to the thought, though. I know everyone is different, but one would think that there is an actual point where you're not benefiting any longer, no additional gains and possible health markers taking a shit
