+ 2 Fat Burners

ad

Do fat burners really work??? They are looked at as if they are the magical pill. I have my feelings on them. What about you ? My son wants to start taking some fat burners which I absolutely do not agree with. I was thinking about maybe giving him vitamin pill and telling him they are fat burners. The placebo effect?

You are right. Got the same experience

Calorie deficit is the only thing that works. Fat burners can just help a little but with going in deficit it won't help.

I’ve had experience with Clenbuterol and other fat burners, and I can't say it's a magic pill. In some cases, the side effects can outweigh the benefits, so I’ve personally decided that when it comes to losing weight, diet and discipline play a much more important role!

I’ve used Shread-a-Bull 2.0 and it works fairly decent.

Even the most efficient=harmful "burners" literally burn 100 calories a day. It is much easier and smarter not to eat those 100 calories. In addition, most "burners" increase appetite and then you burn a hundred calories and eat 200 or suffer much more on a diet than you would without "burners". By the way, I have tried all of them except DNP and I speak from personal experience. So the answer is definitely offer him a placebo. It will certainly have a better effect than certain "burners".

It would be interesting to know the Hospital statistics over the next 10 years for admissions due to Fat burning pills/stimulants causing Heart attacks and strokes, Semaglutide and Ozempic causing digestive tract and stomach shutdown (as is currently happening over here), Steroids causing Liver failure/Heart failure and kidney disease all because the kids of today cannot be bothered to do things correctly and go to the gym and train normally for a couple of years first. All of these will be massively on the rise over the next 10 years.

I’ve never taken a fat burner in my life. No clen, t3, ECA stacks, or the glp-1s. What @NWApatches said is all I’ve ever needed. Hard work and discipline. That’ll get you 99.9% of the way.

Drexyl's picture

Nah man, same here. The cardiovascular risks just aren’t worth it to me.

What more body fat do you have to lose?? lol any more and you won’t even have padding on the bottom of your feet. Gonna hurt to just walk…or you’ll have those massively thick geriatric padded insoles Lol

I never knew that until Dorian Yates spoke about it.

Something like a caffeine pill can help suppress appetite to ASSIST a diet and exercise program. Fat burners help when your at 8% bf and your doing 90 minutes of cardio, already dropped your calories down to like 1600 and can’t lose anymore, then you can add in a fat burner. Even then I wouldn’t, I would just refeed and carb cycle some high days but whatever, that’s like the only time they’re really justified.

I don’t think giving him anything would really be a good idea but I know sometimes buying a new thing can help kick start some excitement and motivation. Like “oh ya I’m gunna take my new preworkout and go hard in the gym today” but you don’t want to support the idea that the pill is doing the work, maybe like a healthy greens powder, or a like a hydration bcaa mix, they really won’t help weight loss but might help him get excited for the whole workout program without encouraging relying on pills for the fat loss

How old is your son?

Things like clen, t3 and dnp do work. But they have serious risks. Then there's also appetite suppressants. Thing like an ECA stack, or any of the current glp-1 agonists like semaglutide and tirzepitide. Honestly none of this stuff is going to help him long term if he can't get his own diet and exercise under control. It would be better to get him to do this the right way instead of teaching him to look for quick fixes to his problems.

Clenbuterol does work, but it’s not magic and also dangerous. A pill isn’t going to solve his problems.

He needs to eat for the lifestyle he wants. Semaglutide is supposed to stop hunger that’s probably the best thing he could take if he can’t mentally control himself.

Placebo isn’t going to do anything for him. He needs to learn to control his diet. Also these things take a long time. You’re not going to go from 200lbs to 150 in a month.

He sounds like he needs discipline and self control more than a pill.

How old is this kid. He needs hard work and discipline more than anything most likely

Agreed. Instant gratification is too prevalent with today’s youth.

No one has any self control anymore. The internet and social media poisons them with dopamine hits every 8 seconds and they think everything should come easy and instantly.

No, they do not work. Trust your gut and do not give them to your son. Thinking that a pill will solve your problem is a slippery slope. By any means necessary you should remove that thought from his head. IMO a placebo will only encourage it. You need to be firm and honest with your son. If fat burners worked, everybody would be slim. If steroids were magic, everybody would be jacked. There is no substitute for hard work.
