Norditropin pen

ad

Couple of questions for you.

  1. how long should you hold the button down while injecting to make sure your getting the right dose, the book says 6 seconds, but there is always solution running out of the tip after.

2.how easy or hard would it be to counterfeit, and what would be an indication of a fake

A couple questions. First, are the cartridges premixed? Is there an area on the cartridge to withdraw with a insulin needle if you don't have the actual pen for this?

I would just hold it till I heard the click.then wait a few more seconds to be sure

the click happens as soon as the button is pressed...

Yeah the instructions say 6 sec, but I always find that there are too many drips, 10 is what I have been doing too

Maybe this will help: http://www.novonordisk.com/therapy_areas/growth_hormone/public/injection...

I use Insulin syringes to draw from the pen and advise everyone else to do so as well. A lot easier than having to deal with the dosage dialing and clicks etc...

I have only heard of Fake Simplexx. Never FlexPro or Nordilet. I could be wrong though.

Fakes tend to be cartridges, not whole pens.

If you are suspecting a counterfeit Nordilet, hit me up with a pic, I might be able to help since I deal with those.

But with your technique of using a pin to pull it out instead of the pen, how do you measure the proper dose? since say 3 clicks is 1 iu and 5 clicks essentially 3 iu, its not acutally measured in IU if I'm not mistaken

For the orange pen, 1IU GH is 10 units on slin pin.
For the blue pen, 1IU GH is 5 units on slin pin.

good call, yeah i feel like by the time i get to the end of the pen I would have wasted a few iu from the drips from the needle tip that come out post injection
