Hospira says to throw it out once the rubber has been peirced after 28 days.just curious if everyone does this or if you use it longer

I'm sure many still use it. But the entire point of Bac is to be sterile. Anything, ANYTHING that's opened for more than 7 days and is exposed to air usually creates microbes.. So 28 days is a number pulled out of somebody's ass, no matter how sterile it is or how many anti-bacterial ingredients it has. It still gets contact to microbes, even if it gets "killed," so to speak.
