TRT with BPH?

ad

I had been blasting and cruising for the last 5 years.

Unfortunately, I have an enlarged prostate to the point I have to self catheterise myself 4-6 times a day, so have had to stop.

I was wondering if just cruising on a TRT dose would do any harm?

Fellow BPH sufferer here, although wow, no self-catheterization. Your urologist is not promising a complete reversal of symptoms after a TURP? I'd strongly suggest you find a second opinion there, the surgical options these days are fantastic. My father also had BPH, got the TURP, and his life went back to normal. I'm in the process of waiting to qualify for the TURP. Things aren't quite bad enough yet, I am waking up 2-4 times a night, but otherwise my days are easily manageable.

TRT / test should not have any impact. Definitely get off any DHTs (primo, mast), you're bypassing the finasteride and directly jacking up signaling in the prostate.

Hi, bad news you have it too!!

I think I had the problem for years but just accepted that I pissed a lot more than normal.

I did a lot of research, and apparently, a TRT dose can actually help BPH.

I deffo wouldn't do anything else.

I came of the finasteride. The side effects were horrid.
Libido just went to nothing, Luckily I have a very understanding girlfriend.
depression, low mood, was rotten.
So just on Tamulosin now.

Just waiting for a call from my urologist now....so there will be some light at the end of the tunnel.

Im on Tamulosin and Finasteride until surgery, probably will have to carry on after too.

Cialis will also help with BPH. Have you tried adding that? Doesn’t take much. ~5mg/day

I would stop everything if I had to catheterise myself.
