Suspected pituatry tumor... any advice appreciated
ad
I'm on trt at 250mg every week, however in the last month I have been feeling nothing from the testosterone, - absolutely nothing. I've been losing muscle etc... I will be going for a mri. My bloods came back fine, the endo thinks that it could be an issue with my pituatry as it runs in my family. In kids, a pituatry problem can lead to delayed development as it impairs the body's testosterone but I'm fully developed man on trt with no problem previously.... could the suspected tumor be blocking the injected testosterone, casuing me to feel as though I am not on trt?

Hey guys, thanks for your support - my scan came back all good, my endo has added hcg to the mix and a trial run and, I feel better already.
250mg a week isnt exactly condusive to building huge muscles also "that feeling" on test will dissapear unless you up the dose again -but thats the trap - you keep going going higher to get that feeling back -avoid that -also how were your e2 levels ?
Johnny the BullI wouldn't jump to conclusions. It could be that your body has become immune to the dosage and a higher dosage will be needed or it could be diet. I hope for your sake it isn't. Maybe even you may need to add hcg as well to you trt. There can be a variety of things but I fully understand that you would think of an endocrine tumour if it runs in the family. Just hang in there and wait for results and stay positive as you can. take care Jasm87.
A good friend of mine went to have his test checked at 34 years old. His was only 84 so they did the mri and he had a tumor on his pituitary that required surgery. I'm not saying this to freak you out but to encourage you to follow up. He had brain surgery back in April and is still not back at work.
Get that MRI bro... we cannot pre-guess or diagnose from this post.
Good luck i hope all is well.
X2. My dad had a tumor on his pitiliitary. You have to get an MRI and then they will know what their dealing with. Good luck.
Thanks Viking, I'll hopefully add to this once I get the mri done. I hope sharing my experiance may help someone else someday.
