+ 1 Polycythemia Vera secondary.

ad

Has anyone here ever dealt with or has Polycythemia due to using gear? I developed secondary Polycythemia about 4 years ago and needed an emergency Phlebotomy. The Hemotologist told me I was a stroke waiting to happen at any second. I was 38 obviously now 43. I continued to get Phlebotomy treatments every 2 weeks for about 5 months and my RBC count went back to normal.I stopped using gear all together. So maybe 6 months ago My GP told me my test levels were so low and referred me to an Endocrinologist who wanted to put me on TRT 300mg Test Cypionate a week. Kinda scared me. But after having low energy levels just doesn't cut it for me for my job(Union Sheet Metal Worker). Also I don't feel like banging as much as I used to. normal. I'm definitely gonna use some test to get my libido and energy(strength back w just 2iu a day of HGH. Any thoughts?

I donate to the Red bus One Blood! It’s good to get registered and go in as often as you can. They have an app and it shows you where the red bus is located in your area! When running gear I like to go as often as I can and when they will let me. Def keeps you in range!

Thanks for the app info BJ. I'm definitely going to look into that ASAP. Was/ is your RBC count high?My insurance ran out next three months so can't really afford the Phlebotomy/ Venipuncture. Hope there's a bus near by soon. Gonna look into it in the AM. Thanks again.

Yes!!!! I was over & it put me back in range. The app is great because they take your blood pressure when you’re there & keep records each time for when you log on to the app. They also give you updates when you’re eligible to go back in!! I forgot to mention you also get movie tickets and sometimes a gift card! Last time I got a movie ticket a $20 gift card and a nice Long sleeve v neck T-shirt.

It's recommended that steroid users donate blood every 6 months to reduce RBC. I know someone who is in amazing shape drop in the gym. He was rushed to the ER. Turned out his RBC was so high that his heart was failing to pump enough blood. He almost died. Needless to say he donates blood every 6 months now.

Should donate when it’s high! That can be every 3 months or two months, even monthly!! Depends on the Bloods, person gear etc. etc. If a person is running a ton of EQ he def needs to donate more than once every six months!

You are correct. That is why regular blood work is so important.

And how is he doing now? Does he get blood tests? Was he using a lot of gear?

He is doing well. I don't know what his regiment was at the time. I just know he was on gear. He was and still is in amazing shape. He does competitions so training is his life. He gets blood work done. Not sure why he overlooked the RBC. Maybe he wasn't getting bloodwork done frequently enough. I just know from his experience and the recommendation of my doctor to donate blood every 6 months when taking steroids. This includes those on TRT.

I call BS on the 300 mg per week. He'd start you out at 100 mg (or less), draw bloods in 6 to 8 weeks and adjust accordingly.

Yeah Shred It happens to cigarette smokers. At the time I was a smoker(half a pack a day) I also quit smoking for the most part that day. I'll have a smoke maybe 2-3 times a year now.

When replying to an individual comment, hit reply on that comment. Either your Dr is stupid, which surprisingly I’ve gone to a few, or the 300 is bs. I don’t think anyone would need that much for TRT. And your risk of long term side effects would be greater. I’m pretty sure they only do up to 250 mg per ml does from the pharmacy. My old doctor had me on 200 a week, my new Dr 200 every two weeks, I told her I would be taking it at least once a week, she said in here schooling it was to be done every 2 weeks, but weekly was ok. I didn’t want to seem like I knew to much so I didn’t argue with her The individual dose vials I notice you can get about 1.1 ml out of probably to make up for the fact you are going to get it all back out of the syringe. So if I do mine weekly I’m probably getting 95 a week which in my opinion is better than 200 every two weeks. I wouldn’t turn down 300 though if the Dr gave it to me I’d just use the excess to cycle. You would probably get the rejuvenated feeling you’re looking for from 100 a week and the 2 IU of growth daily

Adding TEST will most likely increase RBC/HEMATOCRIT/HEMOGLOBIN so I would watch it closely.
300mg wk is too much for TRT purposes.
