Please advice 46 Years Old Test result

ad

Hi All

I am confused, i am trying to understand if i have a deficit of testosteron.
I started to doubt because I feel very often tired with low focus, i suffered for years with low back pain and i think this had also an effect on my mood and energy, but I am fixing that problem and finally I am going back to the gym

I tested my testosteron and i have value of 10.7 nmol/l with official Normal Range between 8.64 and 29.00
My doctor said that since I am within range I dont need TRT
Online I found that 10.7 is actually the minimum ( 5% percentil) and it should be 18 for people between 45-55 years old.

what do u think?
is it a bad idea to take a small qty of T and see how it goes or this will compromise my natural ability to produce T so I will be obliged to be on TRT forever?
I cannot get TRT unless my doctor prescribes it and he obviously he doesnt want to, so i am trying to figure it myself.
thanks for your replies

im 42 going on 43. The Dr started me on Test C at 600 mg every two weeks 10 years ago. however, after day 10 I would feel like crap. tired, lazy, lack of focus. i explained to the Dr that i had experience when i was young injecting myself with T & that I wanted to take home the bottle & inject myself. (a lot of Dr's prefer you come to the office very two weeks.) he agreed but i didnt tell him i was running 300 mg a week having cut the dose in half & injecting more frequently. That seemed to help a lot. gone were the ass dragging days 10,11,12 & 13.

going further, as i was recovering from having a massive back surgery, i wanted to get back in the shape of my 20s. so i stopped using the pharmaceutical T & got myself some underground blend 400. i pushed the dose up a lot more than I probably should've to around 800-1,000 mg a week stacked with anavar. I felt amazing but i wanted to screw every girl in NY,NJ & Miami..... wifey didn't love that.... i did, she didn't. it was also making me super aggressive.

i cut down to 100 mg of prop & 500 mg of Test E per week & felt like crap for months. now i find myself having to run T prop every 2 days just to feel normal & ok.

point is start slow. dont mess around too much. always check your levels. take finastride too because as we age our prostate swells. the finastride will not only shrink the prostate but will help with hair loss from the DHT.

300mg per week TRT??? I have never heard of that before. Bro, 300mg Test per week is a light cycle.
I'm 42 and my Test was the same as the dude above 10.7 + - , I'm on 60mg M, W, F total of 180mg and my Test is around 22 nmol/l and no AI becausei don't need it. Ofcourse everyone is different but 300mg is far and beyond TRT brother.

I concur. That is a cycle. LOL

My doc has me at 250mg of test cyp a week. Guess it depends on the doc and person's test scores.

What are your T levels at on that much?

As I mentioned my doc had me at 600 mg every two weeks. My T levels weren’t even that low but they were on the lower side of the range. All I did was cut it in half & do it weekly. However, 300 mg a week wasn’t giving me the results I wanted. Nor was the cypionate alone.

I find test C or E works best when stacked with some propionate. Need the prop so you get an immediate response & it starts working within hours. I also find by injecting twice a week it helps to keep me level & not slinking with ebbs & flows.

Definitely don't just take a small amount because you will end up shutting down your natural production and therefore might only still be at the same level with the "small amount" you're taking.

Most guys that I've talked to do about 100-200 mg/week to get to higher normal levels.

If you really plan on doing TRT it is forever. It's meant to replace what your body used to produce but can't anymore.

Oh and if you do plan on self TRT make sure you are doing bloods regularly. I prefer every 3 months if I'm making any changes to dosage or possibly stretch it to 6 months if things are dialed in

Part of the process sometimes us getting a second opinion. A qualified medical opinion. YouTube has a plethora of great videos by Doctor Thomas O'Connor ( the anabolic doc). Check those out of you get a chance.

Maybe your doctor knows your health history and he is looking out for you, instead of trying to ignore him ask him what you can do to raise your levels. Maybe its your diet, maybe your overweight, maybe you lead a very sedentary life. Fix you first before trying to fix it with chemicals.

I would find another Doctor. He sounds more like just a numbers doctor and not a wholistic doctor who would also take into account your symptoms. He seems to be completely ignoring that fact.
Taking a small amount of test to try it out is likely going to cause more problems at this point. You really need to do the research on this to understand the consequences of taking testosterone.

I'm 46 too! Don't take a small amount of test just to test the waters. Research on how you can improve your natural test and work hard. Good luck buddy!

Just my 2 cents
