Help needed with getting my hormones back on track
Hi guys,
I'm 56 years old, 200lbs, 15% BF. I've been on Test for the last few years. I do the occasional cycle, usually 600mg of Test E and 300mg of Deca a week, for 16 weeks. In between I just coast at 250-300mg of Test E/week.
I occasionally use Nolvadex, but I just go by how I feel (soreness of nipples).
Performance in the bedroom is getting worse. Usually some herbal stuff would work just fine, not anymore.
Also, I've been feeling pretty sluggish for the last few years.
I've been on a super tight budget for the last few years, so I haven't gotten any blood work done. I've just been winging it. I still look good, but I know things are definitely not optimal. Please don't judge!
Questions...
1-I have a place where I can get the blood work done for cheap. What tests do I need to ask for?
2-once I have the results, what do I need to look for, and where have the results to be at?
3-where are some good resources as to "how to I coast safely?"
4-what is the best way to get me back on track? HGC, blockers...
5-and whatever else you think I'm missing
Thanks guys

It depends on where you live. Google search cheap lab work. Some places are difficult to acquire bloods with out a doctors request.
The results of the bloodwork will have your results and also low and high averages. I’d strongly urge you see an endocrinologist or doctor to review your results. Then google search and read up on what each line of bloodwork means. You can post results on the lab picture section here.
Hello.
Sound like your getting some generally good advice here. After reading you 56 year old, bedroom issues and feeling sluggish, I would recommend that you not just focuse on hormones, but rule out some other things that could cause those symptoms..
If money is a barrier CBC and CMP is a must and they are the cheapest blood labs.. but consider some more test.
CBC (Cell Blood Count) focuses on Immune and other cells. This can rule out some more serious conditions. I doubt your anemic or have lymphoma or another blood/immune cancer but shit happens. Also with excessive RBC or other blood cells can affect some peoples energy and may thicken the blood.
CMP (Chemical/Complete Metabolic Panel) is the other organs like liver, kidneys and electrolytes.
PSA.. prostate cancer is second to Lung cancer for men and I believe its been estimated all men will have some form of prostate cancer over the age of 70..
Other test if you can afford them.
Thyroid panel - TSH Free T4 & Free T3
Fasting Blood Glucose and A1C (see how your body is handling sugar, I believe fasting Glucose is part of CMP)
Hormones: Test free & Total, Estrogen.... etc..
Some other test that are not blood that I would recommend is ECG.. Some local fire departments offer them free. I know some one who got one.. If heart disease runs in the family, find out where you can get tested and just do it. Heart disease is number one cause of death with cancer in second.
Blood pressure, this can tell you a lot about how your body is responding to things from heart to even kidneys and hydration.
You did mention Bedroom issues and Im assuming ED.. Very common with men at our age and Viagra is now Generic or is it Cialis... Any way they work great, but you need a Rx..
Sorry for babbling, but its your health and your Life depends on it..
If you're getting sensitive nipples and resolving it with Nolva then you definitely have high e2. Nolva will stop estrogen from binding to the breast tissue but it will still be elevated throughout you body. Also with deca you may have elevated prolactin.
Get bloodwork done, cut your cruising dose in half and get an actual AI (exemastane or arimidex)
At low doses of test proviron keeps estrogen in check for me.
Alphamale500Bloodwork is obviously the first and most important step for you at this time. So, here are some, if not all the necessary tests that you should consider for your bloodwork.
-Prolactin
-Estradiol
-Lipid Panel
-CBC w/diff
-CMP
-Testosterone, Free/Total
-FSH and LH
-DHT
-SHBG
-PSA
-Thyroid Panel w/TSH
-Progesterone
I know this can be confusing for some ppl. But when you go onto one of the sites that provide bloodwork, you can look at the tests they provide. They usually have packages to choose from, where you can pick the right one for you. There should be some kind of a total package which includes all the pertinent tests required for someone in your shoes. Good luck with everything bro! Once again, my bad about the leg comment, lol! But always keep up with bloodwork!!!!
Thanks Alphamale500.
Your list of tests is much longer than the tests I'd done by the doctor who put me on Test 8+ years ago. That makes me wonder how much he really knew about the subject.
We've got a local lab, open to the public, they've got test packages. I'll head there tomorrow (shit, life gets in the way, and before you know it, a week went by without me doing anything :-/)
I appreciate your apology, gladly accepted! :-) And... I appreciate it in a way, got me motivated to dedicate more/smarter time to my legs and have them catch up (maybe, hopefully). LOL
Alphamale500No problem bro. The list that I provided is basically everything that you can possibly get tested in your situation. There may be a couple of tests you don't absolutely need at the moment, but I would definitely try and get a complete blood workup done at this time. This way you have everything covered, you know exactly where you stand and you can adjust your ancillaries etc. as need be to fix whatever might be off.
Was your doctor from 8 yrs ago an endocrinologist or a regular physician? Because if he wasn't an endo, then that could be why he didn't test for many of those tests. There are some tests that I listed that only an endo would really test for, because they have the knowledge in that background unlike your average doctor.
So you found a place to get your testing done? That's great! There's a popular internet testing site called DefyMedical if you wanna check them out. There's a lot of those sites and you can find one that fits your price range. BUT BLOODWORK IS NOT OPTIONAL WHILE RUNNING GEAR, IT'S ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY!! Tbh, if you can't afford to get frequent bloodwork, then you shouldn't be using gear! I'm not saying that to be a dick, it's just the truth.
If your nipples are getting sore, then it's very likely that your e2 levels are too high. And it's definitely not acceptable just going by how you feel, and taking nolva here and there. It's certainly very likely that your e2 is high with the amount of test your using, and you should consider using an A.I. to control it. And keep in mind that deca use in itself is notorious for causing ED and other sexual problems.
Once you get your bloodwork done, you can post it in your pics and we can help you with it, and you'll be able to normalize anything that might be out of range. This could be the long term fix for your sexual problems. Keep in mind that dropping the deca may be a good/possibly necessary option for you as well. Btw, I didn't really mean anything by that comment, But I did apologize, you accepted, so hopefully water under the bridge!
Good luck bro.+1
Rustyhookercoast at 250-300mg of Test E/week.
I occasionally use Nolvadex, but I just go by how I feel (soreness of nipples).
Full cycle year round and no bloods.....selfie trt at its worst.
Get your dr on board with a real trt. Get bloods
Thanks Rustyhooker
RustyhookerPost bloods and folks will help. Welcome to eroids
Rustyhooker,
can I post bloods in this thread? Or is there another place on eroids where I can/should post?
Alphamale500Not to be a dick, but what you said above makes me think that you need a lot more knowledge about running gear properly and safely. And you certainly don't skimp on bloodwork! When you can't afford bloodwork and lack sufficient knowledge, these are the types of things that happen! BLOODWORK IS NUMBER 1 AND IS ALWAYS IMPORTANT. YOU CAN'T JUST WING IT!!
So you've been running test and deca and you can't even think of a possible cause for your ed/sexual problems? SMFH! Now maybe you can see why bloodwork can't be skimped on and why it's necessary, and also, sufficient knowledge to run gear in the first place. And these statements of yours sound very ignorant:
"so I haven't gotten any blood work done. I've just been winging it. I still look good, but I just go by how I feel
Wow, I really think it's time to stop the gear for a while and educate yourself some more, no? Lastly, what's up with those toothpick legs in your pics? That's also the true call of a novice, who lives by the saying you made:
" I still look good, but I just go by how I feel"
Smarten up bro, this shits not a joke like you're treating it! GET BLOODWORK IMMEDIATELY!!! That's my advice to you. If you can't afford BLOODWORK, then you don't run gear in the first place! Smfh!
I appreciate your advice, thank you.
And I don't think you're a dick for pointing out stuff, however... you're a dick for making fun of my legs. I had a knee injury years ago, which prevents me from going heavy on legs. I work them out just as often as upper body.
Alphamale500If you really have a knee injury, then I'll apologize for that 1 comment about your legs! But then again, If you work out your legs just as much as your other body parts with the amount of gear that you're using, then I really don't see why they would still be that small. But hey, that's really none of my business.
But I still stand by all my other comments about your lack of basic knowledge, not getting NECESSARY BLOODWORK, and the cavalier attitude that you have towards running gear! I'm just trying to drive home to you or any other new guys who may read this, the importance of getting frequent bloodwork is and having adequate knowledge about running gear before you attempt to do so.
Anyway, my bad about the leg comment. And actually, for a 56yr old man you do have a very good physique! BUT PLEASE FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR HEALTH, GO AND GET BLOODWORK!! So, welcome to the Eroids community, and +1 for my leg comment!
You can buy a VPN for a fee and surf with Tor, but this system seems exaggerated just to surf or buy on Eroid.
Where are you buying on eroids?
AnonLanguage barrier, he only speaks the language of the
I actually couldn't change the text.
I wrote a bullshit!
AnonEnglish is the easiest language slowly! You're living up to your name..lmao
You still have a long way to go before you level up.
You deserve a soft toy.
AnonI don't even..know..wtf??
LMAO we good slowly, just messing with you man.
AnonOh slowly...you make me scratch my head you french fry.
I love you, my dear...
There is nothing to buy on eroids. Not sure what you’re trying to say here. Bad joke?
Au contraire, just the other day BFG updated the advertisement fourm.
So, you can buy advertising on EROIDS.COM.
I think that's normal. You've been running for a few years and as I understand it you're neglecting the most important part of a cycle, that is PCT. You are also 56 years old, which means that your testosterone has already stabilized.
Take a blood test, look at your nominal and altered values. You can always try (partial) recovery with HCG.
Otherwise, always bring a blue pill with you, to avoid any bad figures.
Thanks Slowly,
I'll get bloods done right away, and run a proper PCT. And... I ordered some blue pills, just in case. LOL
Get an AI for the nipples. See an Endo, and have them straighten you out.
My nipples are fine. They just get super sensitive when I run too much gear. Nolvadex usually takes care of that quickly. However, I see the foolishness in how I've been doing things are will change things to get myself on the right track.
AnonStart with a CMP, make sure to also order Estrogen and prolactin. Deca with higher than normal testosterone levels without estrogen in check can cause a prolactin rise, both high estrogen and prolactin out of whack can cause side effects I. The bedroom. Not always characterised as ED, sometimes it manifests as a "start and stop" erection, or even anorgasmia, the inability to finish. Making sure your blood pressure is in check along with other basic health markers is crucial. But I would definitely assume your E2 (estrogen) is high, and quite possibly prolactin. from what I've seen prolactin doesn't ALWAYS return to normal after cessation of a nandrolone (Deca). In some cases it appears to cause issues the second or third time running Deca or npp. Only blood work will tell!
Un prescribed not doctor monitored use of test in prolonged periods we call cruising. It's not an endorsed strategy here, advise won't be given freely in the open forum as it sounds enticing to younger guys who are more naive and have more years of future consequences to suffer than a man at 56 would, however as we age blasting and cruising tends to take a different path of problems lol..
As far as how to get back on track I'm not 100% sure what you mean, I'd suggest stopping the test, and after it clears contact your doctor for a referral to an endocrinologist. They are better equipped to handle these issues. It's your choice whether or not you admit steroid usage or simply ask for blood work due to feeling under the weather lately.
But at 56 I'd recommend a full blood panel, I'm not sure if that includes PSA (prostate specific antigen), but definitely get that checked...you need your prostate in order to bust nuts on the Mrs.!
See a doctor.
A real doctor, not some internet hack/quack.
With internet doctors, you get what you pay for.
I used a real doctor in the past, but I think he was pretty clueless. In his case I DEFINITELY did NOT get what I paid for.
How can you tell is a doctor, who deals in TRT really knows his stuff?
I live in the USA
He will probably be an ENDOCRINOLOGIST!!!
He will probably live in the USA.
Alphamale500There you go, that'll be how you can tell, lol!!
+1
1.) If in the states, get bloods done through privatemdlabs (fulfilled through labcorps usually). Get Female Hormone Panel (like 50-60$ with promo).
2.) Are you on TRT? Prescribed? 250-300mg Test/wk is NOT replacement or natural levels. So years of this dose is not normal.
Results are emailed to you. With results, post to eroids and members will help you learn about your numbers, provide advice moving forward.
3.) TRT is coasting to me. 250-300mg/wk is not coasting. I am no pro or vet at AAS, but you have got to learn how to do this in a safer manner IMO. I am not being a dick, but health and safety are #1 priorities here on eroids. Coasting to me is TRT.
4.) Get bloods ASAP. Post bloods. What AIs do you have on hand? Nolva? Arimidex? Aromasin? Caber? Prami? Bromo? We need to know this before advising further.
5.) I totally get it. Everyone fucks up occasionally (in any aspect of life). I would invest in your health a bit more if I were in your shoes. Get bloods occasionally. I cannot stress that enough. A vial of test costs about the same as a blood test. Spend the money, get the test ASAP, and results will be in your hands within 24-48 hours. You could have answers and be feeling better by the weekend.
I want you to know, I am totally not being a dick. We are all here to help each other on this site.
Thanks plantguypete,
Yes, I'm in the States.
My doctor put me on 200mg/week for a TRT regiment. I upped it after a while and stopped seeing him (for $$ reasons).
I'll get bloods done this week. Posting on eroids and getting input that way seems a good way to go.
And no, I don't think you're being a dick. I appreciate your opinion! Thanks
If you only use nolva my guess would be an elevated estrogen but arimidex or Aromasin should take Care of it Also you should really have caber on hand if running deca the prolactin Can go haywire and cause some Nasty sides. Like maybe What you are experiencing Now without using an ai with your test . but blood work is key to unlocking Whats going On . Not to be an asshole but it might be worth lookin into if you want to avoid the Way you are feeling . Have a Good one
Thanks Blaaahdk,
yes, I've only been using Nolva. But reading your comment, and all the other ones... apparently I'm way off in how I did things. So, I'll get my blood work done right away, and then get the proper PCT, and go from there.
