A question for the TRT over 40 group

ad

I just turned 49 and have been running 750mg EQ and 800mg of test E since October of last year. I have over the course of that time run a short cycle of Tren Ace with it. Since my blood work last year showed my test level to be 96, I started this TRT cycle on my own, I have had vast experience with steroids back in the good ol days. Overall I feel awesome, I have dropped 12lbs and brought my bodyfat to 15%. I look and feel like a new person. My only question is I feel a little weak in the manhood department, not sure if it is just in my head or fall out from a couple months of Tren Ace. I was thinking of running some Proviron to supplement. Any suggestions? Also, how long have you guys continually stayed on TRT without coming off? I refuse to age and am very happy keeping up with the young guys and my son in the gym. Thank you and I look forward to your responses.

There has been some good advice below, but I'm not sure you are really getting the point.
YOU ARE NOT ON A TRT CYCLE. You are on a regular cycle and have been for almost a year. That is NOT what TRT guys do at all. TRT is usually 100 to 200 mg of test-e/c a week and that's it! If you go more than that you are "Blasting" or essentially cycling.
Your thinking is flawed when you say that you want to get more out of your TRT. There are reasons why guys run cycles for 12-16 weeks and then get off. The most important is your health. There are so many things that can go wrong when your hormones are that high. Heart, kidney, liver, blood pressure, stroke, etc. All of these are real and will happen unless you drastically change your path.
Please drop to a TRT level and get bloods done asap. Then you can see what needs to be done. My advice would be to stay on a trt dose for at least a year before you start blasting again. It's all about being healthy and living a long and healthy life.

Thank you, I am taking the advise given. I really got caught up in how good I was feeling. A great feeling coming from where I was. I really hadnt given much thought to how long I was on until recently and that is part of what prompted my post. You are 100% correct I wasnt on TRT it was a cycle. Really the thought was that if I was going to do TRT i might as well just run a cycle and the time just got away from me.

+1 for coming here, asking the right questions and listening to what folks have to say.
We all understand the feeling you get and would love to stay on, but it's just not safe. I am TRT, but I almost never blast. I am able to really do well on my TRT dose and still get a good feeling on what I'm on. If you blast, it's harder and harder to feel good on low doses. I don't want to screw that up, but most importantly, I just want to be healthy and live a long life. Being on TRT has actually made me much more conscience of my health and I am constantly taking steps to improve it.

11 months on this bro. That's not good most peoples rbc hemoglobin and hemacroit are significantly elevated after a 16 week cycle of eq and you've been on it for 11 months. If you don't know what high of those means it means your blood get very thick putting you at high risk for heart attack and stroke. Step one is drop the eq and drop the test down to 150-200mgs ew and at the same time make an appt for blood work. After you get the results you might need to donate blood probably double red cells to get you blood back in safe range. Post results on here when you get them and we will tell you what's wrong.

Thanks for the advise. I did drop the EQ while I cycled the Tren Ace but yes I have been on it a long time. I think part of the problem is mental. I havent felt this good in so long I just want to keep going. I will schedule my bloodwork and post them. Thanks for the kick in the ass.

Ya I understand man I feel the same way when I'm on cycle. But the difference you had low t before so just bringing that back into range will have you feeling great. 150mg ew will probably be perfect I would do that now so you can get bloods and see how that dose is working for you. You want to be in normal range not out of it.

Good info on dropping a unit of blood....

Thats an extremely long time. About 11 months on those compounds. An eq cycle should be about 16 weeks. If your on trt drop the eq and high test and goto a reasonable trt dose. 150 to 200mg a week. Give your body a break. Running compounds for that long can cause some issues.

That was a thought. Would you add a Proviron or other PCT?

bigjrock's picture

Well if your on trt because you need to be then technically you dont have to do a pct. Just do a regular dose of test. I would get bloods done to see where your at with everything.

Those doses you mentioned are cycle doses, not TRT doses. If you have been administering EQ & TEST at those doses for that long, thay would be considered an over dosed cruised, or too long of a blast....you checking your estrogen and have AI on hand?

big JO's picture

You are right, but my thought was if I am going the TRT route I want a little more out of it, that is why the doses are a bit higher. I do take Arom daily to keep the estrogen in check. I would like to have my blood work done regularly but Im not 100% sure what to ask them for.

Proviron is a good drug. I have read positive information about it when incorporating it into cycles, blasts and cruises.

Privatemdlabs.com is one place u can get a female hormone panel for under $60.

TRT doses are tailored for each person. Average TRT doses can be 125mg/wk in divided doses, so, 62.5mg on wed and sat, or whatever day, as long as they are 3-4 days apart.

From what i have read on here, 125mg/wk should keep testosterone in an avg man between 600-800. Saturation occurs at 1300.

What are you going to do?

I have a physical coming up soon so I am going to get my blood work done there and see what the results are.I have no problem telling my doctor what Im doing and asking for advise.I will probably cut out the EQ and cut back on the Test E for a couple months and see how I feel. Im just really concerned about the ED side effects, I hate the thought of sliding backwards.

MedDx's picture

I believe proviron will help you with ED issues, while taking TRT and getting your doses in check. Just drop the EQ as advised and get some bloodwork, while decreasing the test dose...

Men on TRT can use AI and proviron. I guess if they wanted to keep testicular volume in check, hCG would be beneficial, maybe clomid. However, most the time men on TRT cruise all year around at 200mg TC/TE and then blast at higher doses, but only in 8 wk intervals.
