Zeitgeist- Jesus who?
ad
Has anyone seen the film Zeitgeist and care to comment. In one segment they talk about religion http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZgT1SRcrKE seen here.
They tell that Jesus was a re-telling of the God Horus from Egypt as well as many other similar Gods in history. All these Gods modeled after the stars and their movements. Interesting information if you have the time to listen.
I personally find it hard to beleive in Jesus even though I was raised to do so :( Sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings and I do understand this is controversial!

It's very a very interesting video but everyone knows we are here because of aliens.... Lol
These posts NEVER get anyone anywhere! There's already enough tension with a site full I thousands of men with crazy high test levels without throwing religion into the mix! Religion does nothing but divide ppl. If you're a spiritual person then who gives a shit what the next man believes. At least this didn't get out of hand. That's gotta be a first for one of these.
"Religion does nothing but divide ppl. If you're a spiritual person then who gives a shit what the next man believes"
Wow, well said. Respect.
Hay, the Pope just said even atheists can get into heaven... I feel a kumbaya moment about to start.
I dont think its important which religion that you believe in. If you choose not to believe in a religion its ok too. Being a man, it took me a long to come back to religion. I have always believed that there is "something" there.
What took me a long time is to come reason with, is who I am as a person. Religion wasn't involved in that. Once I came to terms with my self , Is when I started to look for a g-d or religion that fits with what my belief system is..
(make sense ?)
Bro, chances are if you were open minded enough to research and try aas, you are open minded enough to view the world thru non gov and industry sponsored eyes. I enjoyed the zeitgeist movies. It open my eyes to many things I felt were wrong with the system.
edit
AnonI hope this thread doesn't get locked because you aren't really saying anything bad about religion. I have seen the zeitgeist you are talking about and it really gets you to thinking. I was raised in a christian (at least we pretended to be) family, so I think i have the right to comment. If you want to smoke cigarettes, go right ahead but please don't blow smoke in my face. I get shit left on my front door all the time and I wonder what would happen if I printed a lot of Darwin pamphlets and put them on everyone's windshield at church? Someone would start a fight with me I'm sure. Just think though it wasn't that long ago your ass would be hung or burnt alive for denying the Jewish Carpenter Super Hero.
AnonIts not so much what he's saying, but rather we've seen this before. The discussion is fun for a while, but eventually things get heated. Perhaps not this time though
AnonI hope not, we offended roughneck before. just have to keep it tactful
I'm familiar with what you're talking about that and found the parallels to be very interesting. If I remember right the cycle is about 2000 years. Also the type of god has something to do with the age we are in. We are in Pisces -the sign of the fish. Jesus is known as a fisherman (fisher of men). Jesus said he'd return...
We are in/at the dawn of Aquarius. The water sign. It would be interesting to see what new "messiah" and the myth that society creates from him will look like.
AnonI just wonder if 2,000 years from now some asshat will actually think that Harry Potter was for real.
He's not real? Actually I don't think it matters. You might say the myth is more powerful, and important, than the man.
What would that be by the way? Harry Krishna?
We should all pause and reflect on our personal relationship to Harry.
AnonIts been a long time ago but I was at the airport in Atlanta GA and those krishna guys blew my mind.
I cant remember what religion it was but it was the Mayans or Aztecs, that believed if they punctured their penis with a stingray barb, then let the blood drip on this special parchment, then let it catch on fire that they could talk to their dead ancestors through the smoke. It made me think if a woman wanted to talk to her relatives if the guy would set all this up so she could talk to the dead as well. I could definitely see penis envy during that time especially since their wasn't any television.
AnonI believe in norse mythology myself ! Asatru/ odinism
AnonYou know Im a bit of a prophet my self. Hmm let me see I have a vision of .......... This thread getting locked ;)
Buildbigger86ahahahahahahahahaha, NO caps this time brothaaaa
3PUMPCHUMPFalse prophets do not count. Nice try though
3PUMPCHUMPI will check that one out. I agree and that is why I posted this segment as I see it as accurate info. Some other parts make you go hmm but are out there like the 911 conspiracy.
They openly admitted to exaggerating some of the facts for shock value. "The Addendum" is a better one, also done by Peter Jackson. A little less shock value, a lot more informational. Even then, you still have to discern shock from verifiable info.
