Everyone has a there own secret to life mine is simple.. Live free.. Laugh.. Try and be happy.. Help others with out expecting payment or something it return.. Give back .. Help the less fortunate .. That's my secret to life anymore . I would love to hear what everyone's opinion is on this.

Have not posted much of anything here,Still learning, in fact still growing as a person but this thread sure hits home. Great posts from everyone really makes you think. After 8 months of just lurking this should be one of the most important threads EVER.

Nothing fancy or philosophical, I constantly remind myself how insignificant I am in the universe. There are many things bigger than I am, I don't get caught up in drama or politics. The world spins regardless of what I think or do. It makes it easy to focus on what matters, health and family. Basically, don't sweat the small or big stuff just chill out and get over yourself lol That's the key to happiness, we that and a partner who still makes you giddy after ten years ;)

A man has got to have a code (is that from a movie?). I think a big key to life is having a moral code/compass and sticking to it. I have found that when I waver or don't hold to what I know is right and true, I become unhappy. Whatever your code is, stick to it like grim death!
BlutoOnly help the ones that will help themselves. Never trust a preacher,cop, or a lawyer. Revenge is best served slow and at a couple thousand yards. No advice is more valuable than the advice that comes from mom or dad. Shouldn't take fear of a fairy tail to make you live right. Unsatisfied woman doesn't put out.

Laugh is a big one, I tend to not do this enough. Honestly, just treat others how you would like to be treated and just be an over all good person. Everyone has flaws and bad things they regret, but forgive yourself and journey on. Love much, hate less and forgive if its in the cards. If your have means to give then by all means give, but keep your word, be honest and believe in yourself!
that is correct laughter is a big one, we tend to get caught up with all the BS in the world and never take time to sit back and laugh.
Not really a secret but I believe in the Golden rule. If you do your best to follow that odds are life will be good.
I believe we make our own happiness. You see people who have the world but are lost and unhappy, or try distract themselves with senseless things. And then you see the people who have nothing or who were deal a bad hand and they still choose to be happy and make the most out of life. To rise above their circumstance. Those who continue to raise people up instead of beat them down. We don't pick our situation but we always get to pick our reaction.

I just think sometimes we get caught up and we don't take a step back and give thanks for all we have
First and foremost, cause no harm to others. I spent so many of my younger years selfishly caring only for myself, so I have a lifetime of giving to do to square the ledger. Secondly, live in today. Don't worry about the result, focus on the process. The result will take care of itself if I trust the process. Being in recovery, keeping life simple is the only way for me to live happy. carpe diem and YOLO. it sounds hippie, but it is actually pretty deep and puzzling as long as you are not religious. just look at the stars, it doesn´t even make sense that something exists. it is hard NOT to take life for granted in our take-everything-for-granted-world. So enjoy life and don´t question

Mine is quite simple brother, you put good in and you get good out. Thats what I try to do on a daily basis. I stay clear of negativity and people associated with it.
