Yeah, I'm making a documentary...
ad
Seriously I am!
I was so impressed when I saw Bigger Stronger Faster, that I wanted to do something similar for myself. Anyway, I've been filming for a while, and have been getting some baseline footage. Long story short, I'm not working with an experienced documentary maker and we are tuning the production process. I thought I'd reach out to the people in the online world to see what topics you would like to see discussed. I may give some more information later, but since it's a project currently in production I can't say too much.

Interview people that have abused steroids horribly and have gotten the worst longterm bad effects
CleyonThat's a great idea! I need to figure out the best way of finding those people. It would be great to create a juxtaposition between those people, and people who have used steroids responsibly for years. I know that both exist, just finding them, and getting them to talk on camera is going to be tricky.
could do a thing showing whats healthier with short/long term effects, been obese or been on roids? show how extremely unhealthy it is been obese or fat. be interesting
CleyonThat is a GREAT suggestion! Thank you! Just so you know I have a huge list of topics/comparisons that I want to cover in the documentary. I welcome all suggestions, but don't be surprised if it doesn't make the cut.
I'd be interested seeing that
CleyonThe hardest problem is backing that up with scientific research. The biggest problem we have with the current "Steroids are evil" thing is that very few people do any studies related to steroids. There are some that deal with TRT and HGH in the anti-aging area, but as far as performance enhancement there is very little. It's a great question to pose to an anti-steroid expert though.
CleyonSo if I was making a documentary about almost any other subject at this point I would be looking for investment. Even just in the form of free or discounted products. If I was doing a product evaluation documentary about Hydroxycut I'd ask them for free or discounted products, but no can do on this one!
I'm learning a LOT about the film making process, and currently am having a LOT of fun! Hopefully the documentary will be as much fun for the audience (you guys) as it is for me.
you could make fun of all the "Is it Low T " commercials. Id like hear from people who have gotten heart disease from using steroids. Or similiar horror stories.
CleyonHow would I even find those people? The scientists can't even seem to find them! The "Low T" angle is already going to be addressed.

Dont ask the scientists, ask the doctors. Your documentary may end up sounding one-sided, if you ignore the fact that there are health complications.
CleyonMy documentary is more about my journey than anything else. I'm not necessarily going for fairness here. As far as Don Hooton is concerned... I'm struggling with whether or not I want to reach out for an interview with him. He was already in BSF, and came off looking like a jerk (in my wife's opinion).
We all know there are sides, and that they are exacerbated by overuse/abuse of steroids. I will not be playing that down, or denying it.
I'll be posting a synopsis of what my documentary is about soon.
CleyonWe've hit a great stage of the documentary process. We are putting together interviews with people and want to talk to a wide range of people. If you live in XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX area) and are interested in being interviewed, then hit me up at XXXXXXXXXXXXX
Bro...I don't care if you're James Cameron doing a remake of Avatar, I can't allow you to solicit members for interview purposes.....whether you are filming them or questioning them via written communication.
As much as I support anyone who attempts to educate an ignorant public about steroids, I have to concern myself with the safety and security of our members.
If you want to actually speak with people who use steroids, I would suggest any hardcore bodybuilding gym-----I once heard that bodybuilders have actually resorted to steroid use.......(oh the shame).
CleyonYou're right bro, sorry for the foul. I've already got my gym interviews lined up, I'll figure out another way to bring the "community" aspect into it.
Will it be crossing the line to throw a link to the trailer on here once it comes out?
Not at all. In fact we'd love to see it.
If you're looking for insight from members here, you are certainly free to open a thread in one of the forums and invite open discussion, along with questions, commentary, etc.
Remember the documentary "steroids saved my life" I feel like that should be mentioned
CleyonGood point! It's not as well done as BSF, but it has some very important information. I think it's hard to address real information in the "Reality TV" style. However the human element is staggering.
there needs to be a film supporting our community, we arent the typical "drug users" as people make us out to be. Some of the nicest people i know are gear users
We need a "Bigger Faster Stronger" remake every year or two.
Good to see someone out there trying to educate ignorant people.
CleyonHonestly, the difference that Testosterone has made in my life has been incredible and I'd be a shallow uncaring person if I didn't share this with others.
