+ 4 What are your tips for saving money on groceries and meals?

Over the last couple years my grocery bill has gone through the roof. To feed just myself and a dog i spend anywhere from $70-100/week at the grocery store pretty easily. So i'm looking for all you're tips & hacks for both getting groceries cheaper and meals that can be made on a budget while still being filling and reasonably good for getting in the macros/calories we're trying to get in.

O yeah that's low for sure and he should be ashamed but let's not forget the Capitol riot now cause that was bad. See horrible things happened and we should never point out one side and not point out the other side. That riot was a disgrace big time, no other way to put it. I watched it live and felt I was watching some third world country. Both parties should be ashamed of themselves. I simply see it for what it is and not what I want it to be.
But that was started when Trump first won over Hilary and the Democrats denied his win and wanted to do away with electoral votes because they said popular votes should only determine an election. They opened a can of worms challenging that election and not recognizing it with "trump is not my president" that the senate and house reps quoted. They set the precedent and here comes Trump doing the same thing 4 years later and everyone is like "hey you cant challenge elections!" Lets not forget
Look I'm not for either side but the shit was decided by the courts already so not sure why he's still bringing it up, hell even respected Republicans are agreeing with the court's decision. Bottom line is the courts made the decision and he should respect it and move on and stop the foolishness. Eventually he would've gotten back in office, just silly as hell. Had the courts found something then that would be something totally different. Very confusing lol.
You are exactly right. Its been old real quick to keep hearing how he got cheated. Move on! Thats what will hurt his run this year if he dont stop bringing up the past.
I may not agree with him on alot of things but I'll seriously be wishing him the best for this country.

Go to Poor areas where a lot of drug addicts hang out, find people selling their food stamps. People sell em for 50% of the value. I use the same 2 people every month. 600$ worth of groceries for 300$. Go to ALDIs or Costco/PriceClub, you'll really stretch your money.
Go to rich areas food pantries. If you wait till the end, right before they're about to close, some of them will let you take ALL of whatever's left, otherwise they have to throw it out. I've filled deep freezers with bacon and beef/chicken/pork chops etc.
Buying foodstamps is the way to go! Cant beat 50% off for food. O cant say no to them
All this for those GAINS! This man said food stamps!.. I forgot about those food stamps. I shop at Aldi's and their prices have been steady going up too.
Groceries are hitting that bank hard. Tip #1-100 make more money. Tip 101- shoplift that shit. Load that cart until it's mounded over and run anyone over trying to stop you. They're only trying to take your shit. Don't submit!!
Between my full time job and side gigs i already work 7 days/week and around 65-70 hrs. I'm already getting burnt out doing it all for almost a year now.
I'm with ya doing it too broski. The mind is a muscle.. it controls the body. Make that motherfucking mind hard and own those 65 hours. Let's do it together

Yea both of those movements are way too strange for me. And I agree they are associated with this administration. Under Trump Administration I'm sure there will be a strange movement as well, happened before. It's a mess man lol. I'm familiar with the policies of both guys and yes the economy was doing better with Trump Administration but unfortunately I don't think those guys are the answer and honestly I don't know who or what is the answer...basically it's the lesser of both evils @Pumped too much divisiveness and not enough Unity
But the president makes the "executive orders" that do effect how we live so it kind of does matter who is in office. Biden signed 48 executive orders undoing every trump policy that was helping the people, not because he didn't believe in it but because they were Trump's policies. Thats horrible leadership

I totally understand. This 4 years has been hell. All I'm saying is I'm not putting alot of stock in Mr. Donald John Trump. I wish him the best though because this country needs it.
The prices are here to stay regardless who’s in office. If people are buying it, then they’ll keep selling it at the same price and not change anything. Same with cars, tvs, guns/ammo, etc. If the average jackass is willing to buy 9mm for $1/rd then that’s what those stores will sell it for. All they see is suckers and higher profit margins
You can't just keep prices of things artificially inflated forever. Eventually, another company will come along and sell the same good/service for cheaper and take all the business from whoever's inflating prices. TVs are dirt cheap compared to prices in the past. Why don't all sources just sell bottles of test for 80$. Why has growth hormone become so cheap? It's supply and demand. Free market capitalism 101. We're living in the Bidenomics age. Were buying everything from other countries, including oil, vs producing everything here.

No TVs are not dirt cheap. Brand new top of the line tv is relatively just as expensive now as it was 20 years ago. I can go buy a $10k tv right now. You’re comparing a top of the line tv from 10 years ago to what it would cost today to say TVs a dirt cheap. Your test and GH is cheap because an over saturation of sources. That analogy doesn’t hold here because major food items are really only produced by 2 MAYBE 3 companies in the US and the operation is so big no one is just going to come in and steal all their customers. Same with ammo except it’s only really 2 companies. Oil we don’t control the supply and demand because we produce a fraction of what they do in the Middle East.
We will never be able to produce enough oil domestically to be energy self sufficient.

Ill never convince a progressive and a progressive will never convince me to change my mind but being a black man working 40+ with spouse working 40+ i personally have been negatively effected by socialist administrations starting with obama lowering the tax bracket and hurting my family to biden cancelling millions of jobs and giving jobs to overseas causing a labor shortage hence prices getting raised originally and starting inflation in the first place. Yes human being will capitalize on it selfishly but it never should have started in the beginning. Started with not being energy independent and having to rely on whatever prices they want to create because price of fuel and electricity is higher causing making products more expensive causing them to have to higher prices to make a profit and feed their families
Ultimately even over here we have no choice but to pay the prices they put things up to, we need those consumables. Even now when supermarkets could decrease prices on many items that are no longer expensive to produce they don't - they just keep them the same as we are now use to paying those prices.
In my state things have gotten so bad that the supermarkets make us pay for shopping bags, or you can bring back the ones you’ve already purchas, although you rarely remember to bring them. I have about twenty shopping bags in each car, and about a hundred in my garage.
It’s absolutely 100% the same thing here, and it’s not going to change. McDonald’s raised their prices to basically “real” restaurant prices, guess what, there’s still lines there every day. They have us by the balls and know it. Different for those who live in the rural areas, but in the densely populated areas? We’re fucked.
