Trying to get a dog
ad
I'm trying to get a siberian husky. I cant make up my mind, should i adopt or just buy a this dog. The adoption agency wants an application done and want to come over my place to check on the dog after , which is cool, but it seems like a hassel. Anyone here adopted a dog, Is it a smart choice? or should i just buy one. which is better? so confused on which route to go with this

Adopt, there's way too many abandoned dogs that need another chance!
lol i have 2 siber/husky i kid you not better have a good as vacuum cleaner and i am not joking,
also they are not such a good guard dog no bs lol also to friendly to tame but always wants to be outside then in home unless you live in a cold area lol. but are so much fun beside the shedding every fcking day (must have leather coach) but are great dogs.
just dont over feed them they are known to have hip problem keep them active and your gtg.
fyi i do have a 3rd dog which is a doberman pinscher (brown) so makes up lol.
but i do which i had room for a malamute.
thats awesome bro, yea not looking for a guard dog, just something big, active, and friendly, i want one so bad bro
Anonhope you live somewhere cold...that husky is gonna be miserable in the hot summer, huskies are also pack dogs, so when your gf/wife and you are gone they get pretty lonely and depressed unlike that of a Shepard
the weather here is always in the 70 degrees, but the dog will have company.
Anonthen the husky will be stoked..
aylmejorGood choice, my favorite dog. buy one from a pup.
BUY ONE ....i have a shepard and pitt both females i bought them both when they were both puppies ...my exwife decided to adopt a st.bernard from an agency that did all you said they went out ,application all that .once cleared they let her have the dog ...our daughter at the time was 3yrs old at my house (i have custody) all week long my dogs played with her the dogs grew up with her and know how to interact with her very protected of her...so at her moms house over one weekend the ADOPTED st bernard had my daughters toy my lil girl went to get it and the dog attacked her ...16 stitches on her left temple about half way up her head ...the dog was put to sleep. ....SO buy one and raise the dog the way you want to...
AnonId say adopt if you can. Buying a pup has its merrits too, but supporting puppy mills is bad. I have done both and both have turned out great .
Every time I go to the pound I want to take several dogs home.
I suggest you take a few visits to the pounds and to a breeder, see if any dogs seem to strike you.
AnonAdopt for sure... you are giving a animal a second chance just like Chedder said... I feel more sympathy for animals then I do for people, animals don't have choices humans do, if you don't adopt that husky it will eventually be put down
AnonAdopt, Bro. Give that animal a second chance. A lot of us on here are felons and were given a second chance. We know what it feels like to have it. You'll make that dog very happy!
AnonX2 for sure
thats a hard choice man. I would go and see the dogs you are considering before you make a choice. My newest is a stray. Someone came and dumped a litter of 5 pit pups in my neighborhood and they all roamed around for 2 weeks or so and then i snatched one up when i was told animal control was coming to get em. Im a sucker i guess. lol If you're wanting pure bread, papers, ect i would suggest buying. If you just want a dog there are some good dogs out there waiting for a home. We know what happens to most when they aren't adopted :( just my .02 . Siberian Huskies are some cool looking dogs sisters got one
BUY ONE !!!!!
samick94Adopt! thats how i got my dog!
