thining hair???

ad

i'm pretty sure perhaps someone else has already brought this up, for some of us fellas here this is a big issue, i know it is for me! i'm not going bold but frontal hair is thinning with receding hairline! one can blame the issue on any of the available factors such as ur grandpa from mom's side, steroid use/other medications, getting older, poor sleep patterns, poor nutrition/diet, quality of hair products, and or stress. the list goes on; some we can control some we cannot. before i never would have given hair a second thought, i use to have care-free luscious and thick hair! at first i was in denial when first noticed excessive shedding, then i started really researching what’s out there and all variable causes when thinning became a reality. Fuck the bold-headed look doesn’t cut it for me; i just look like a ww2 POW. so i began the crusade on hair loss, guess what i'm still losing, after so much i've spend of money, time and energy i can’t really say there is anything of a permanent solution other than hair-transplants! those are fuck expensive as hell, think of $7,000 and up depending on how much follicle hair need to be transplanted but 1,000-1,800 can be transplanted per time @ $1.00-$1.75+ per follicle, well you do the math. i've tried all kinds of concentration of Minoxidil, Azelaic Acid, Propecia, laser comb and to all the way to organic medicinal crap. on the other hand, i've heard that Dutasteride (generic Avodart) and mixing it with aloe-vera and using it as topical solution has proved to be very successful, but then again for how long? it never ends with hair! so a new research has come up with this promising injection product called "ACell (MatriStem)". anyone is as obsessed over hair loss as i am? they got a story or info to share, please feel free to do so. thank you for your time!

Yeah, I got some avodart, and I'm gonna try it as topical soltion with aloe vera, and a gel I use that causes the skin to absorb it (I forgot the name of it, but I'll post it as soon as I get it - I did it before on test-gel, where the substance is absorbed with over 2x's of effectiveness - in other words, makes it stronger). O.K., I just found an old container. It's a "delivery system" called DMSO (dimethylsulfoxide). It's inexpenive, and works real good. I'll be starting soon and I'll let ya'll know.

what no way!? okay so where in the hell do u get dimethylsulfoxide? isn't it toxic to ur skin, given it has sulfide? so basically added that to the aloe-vera gel mixed with Avodart to help better deliver to scalp? more info please? how long u gonna stay on that, at least 6 months to see results right? yea there is no way i can take Avodart orally, i'm only 27 it will though me off balance which such low DHT in the blood!

Hey. I'm late. Yeah, I heard that it's more effective to attack DHT via the scalp. You can get DMSO anywhere, and in many forms. The one I use is the DMSO gel (90% - and 99.9% pure). The cheapest is on Amazon.com, but you can Google it if you want the blue label (which I like). I'm gonna crush the Avodart real fine, then mix it with the DMSO first (the usual dose, or less), then apply that to areas needed most. It will soak in the skin within minutes. I'll leave it for awhile. Then I'll mix the same solution with aloe vera, and rubb it in the scalp (I use aloe vera for hair gel anyway). I'll do that for awhile, and perhaps in a few months look for something that will help hair grow. I read about DMSO in a book by Roger Mason, that I got at "YoungAgain.com". It takes whatever substance that is mixed with it and delivers it by skin, where applied. Happy hunting.

wow this is what i'm talking about, gotta think outside the box! i give u props....so the book u read suggested that DMSO is a great delivery system to skin, and u thought why not use Avodart?nice! okay going back to the gel mix, i was thinking leaving it at night, like going to sleep with it, just make sure u got a towel on pillow and just snooz! gonna try that for 6months just to see. so i can get DMSO at amazon? u gotta let me know how that works out, very curious to find out, so it won't irritate ur skin?

been on propecia/dutasteride/rogiane/nizoral for 10 years and i am 35 with a full head of hair.

good luck to you bro

eat_sleep_gym's picture

10 years! wow! wouldnt that effect ur body some how? the reason i couldnt stay on propecia for more than 2yrs it really lowered my DHT in my blood stream more than in my scalp....i felt more girly lol.....just too soft and floby! this is why i'm considering avodart and will use it as topical by using the pill with aloe-vera paste on my head every night! once i get the funds i am gonna go seek a greater solution!

A.R. Fenian's picture

Yeah, that's a good idea - to concentrate on the scalp DHT.

i didnt use it for long, for about 2 years and i just couldnt go on any further! it really lowered my blood DHT, made me feel less of a man! lost my agression at the gym, yea hair was kinda getting thicker but not a big deal for the funds spend and i felt anemic for some odd reason even though i'm not, got cold easily. just hated not getting my hard ons in the morning too!lol at least u made the bold look work for u!

hahahahah.....u guys crack me up i swear! i know though i gotta face reality but i do got hope, with the advancement in medical technology something gotta give, some day.

Hey man, thanks for the input. I was wondering the same thing myself, and was about to schedule a doctor appointment, but can't stand going to the doctor = ]. I'm glad you made the entry here because I've been lookin around for a little while for info. What is your goal? To keep what you already have (sounds like Avodart is working but you are skeptical in long term)? Or are you looking for something that can help grow hair, as an alternative to transplants (which do not look fun)? I'm gonna look around some more and see if I can get more info. Thanx.

hey A.R., well before going for the doc's costly appointments start with what’s out there and has been proven by the FDA. then take a step further after that, i've tried propecia and for the expensive price and the hormonal imbalance it left my body, it was not worth it. i tried minoxidil, in fact i tried 15% concentration from "Dualgen-15" (u can get it at amazon.com) u have to be on it for so long and so religious to really see any improvement, the moment u stop all is gone for nothing and is not cheap either! i tried the laser comb, i gained some result, in fact i went all out for 3 months with all 3 combos (propecia, minoxidil and laser) and got some great results, but for how long was i supposed to keep it up, for the rest of my life lol? no i have not tried Avodart because i frankly can’t get my hands on it, don’t know where to find it and doc's prescriptions are too pricey! I’m not looking to take it orally but mix the pill content with some aloe vera gel as a topical solution, i’ve read great amount of even medical studies stating that blocking DTH directly on the scalp is more beneficial than blocking DHT in the blood, especially given that not all DHT created in the body goes to scalp effect. So yea i’m looking to try that out. i'm currently researching ACell, but the technology has just came out. always give anything that just comes out at least 10 years, u would never know what causes cancer or what? but if all is good, it might be the closest thing to final solution to hair loss. and u think that would cut it politically and economically with those pharmaceuticals? no way! we're just gonna have to wait a little and see but mean while yea i wanna keep and thicken what i got, to grow new follicles that was fallen would be nothing short of a medical, so no i can’t expect that, i have to be realistic.

A.R. Fenian's picture

Yeah, I firmly believe... where there's a will, there's a way. Did you check out the section on hair loss at "napsgear"? While they're not taking orders, it's interesting to see what's out there. Right now I'm looking on "alldaychemist.com" (see: Source Reviews) and they have quite a bit of stuff. Thanks for the advice. I'll try some of the pills, and see if I can find some of that German shampoo. Good hunting. Hopefully some others can add some input.
