In that era I was a Poison, Alice Cooper, Whitesnake Hair Metal band fan LOL Then in the 90's it was Pantera, Megadeth and with the release of the Black Album came Metallica in a BIG way!! Became obsessed with them then all their older stuff. Stuck with em through Load and Reload. Got into the Dance music scene then and going out etc but early twenties got into the Nu Metal stuff Papa Roach, Bizcuit etc and along came Killswitch who were my number 1 till mid twenties. Then 5FDP through the thirties ....

For sure mate I like a bit of Light The Torch too. But Killswitch Man, Fucking Killswitch - when I first heard Alive or Just breathing I was like WTF is this??? This is incredible, everything about it was brilliant. Jesse sounded good then, but End of the Heartache was awesome and all the other stuff. Was gutted when that screaming lunatic came back and ruined it all.

BUT Pal, I am more bothered about whats happened to 5FDP - first few albums were my absolute favourite of all of them Way of The Fist, War is the Answer mainly. American Capitalist still great. NOW what the HELL is all of the over produced computer game sounding utter shite about???!! What have they done to the drum sound too - I HATE all the new stuff. Its like they have been told by the record company 'You will sound like this now, it sells the most'!!

And the first was right when they did their first album and it was a tiny bar of maybe 60 people and it was fucking epic. And even covered bad company rhat night before they put in on the next album. They have gone very commercial. And they rock but everyone wants to appease labels these days.

WoW 4 times really?????!! I'm very envious LOL Zoltan's an awesome guitar player too. Never seen them live, tbh I've been out of the live band scene for a long time now. Nearly went to see Light The Torch when they played a very small venue near me some years ago but really it would just have been to say I have seen Howard live rather than loving the bands music as such. Last band I saw was Megadeth on the Youthanasia Tour a loooonngg time ago!!! Yeh I really hate that commercial sound they have now, surely when they play their earlier stuff everyone shows them they love it more than the latest crap?? You would think those guys would be the last to sell out but I guess they will have made a tonne of money from doing so
Are there any other big bands that have come out over the last 5 years that sound similar to KSE and 5FDP? I have heard bits from other bands in my spotify suggestions but it tends to just be 2 or 3 great songs and not entire albums that I have really liked.
I get so burnt out I always go to related acts and randomly check bands out.
