std's and blood work
I have came into contact with Trichomonas an easily curable sexually transmitted infection.I am scheduled for blood work on Thursday 5-30. I can absolutely reschedule the blood work. I just found out I am probably infected today. I am in a relationship, and know exactly when I contracted it. I have been told previously that one of the vials they collect is for the cdc, but I do not know if its true or not. My question is should I get the bloodwork std+ or should I postpone it for a week or 2. The antibiotics are supposed to have it totally eliminated in 5 days and I am going to get those in the morning. Also I am 6 1/2 wks into a light test-e cycle. Thanks for any feedback!

The best advice I can give is to stop dating dirty partners.
WOW
Never thought I'd be typing this on an open forum on the internet but I know the mental anguish something like this can cause so I'm gonna help you out. About 2 years ago I was exposed to the same parasite....that's what it is, a parasite. I had been sleeping with a lady on a regular basis and at first we used condoms, then we didn't. I probably slept with her 20-30 times without one. Then one day she calls me and asks when the last time I had been checked for STD's was....heart drops, I leave work, go straight in to get tested. Felt like an idiot, no sleep, anger, disgust all that...then I came back negative. So she does her treatment, it's actually one huge dose of medicine, takes a few days to work, then tests again and she's clear. I'm still convinced there's no way in hell I didn't contract this shit so over the course of 6 weeks I got tested 2 more times...never got it. Finally my doc asks what gives and I tell him the story I just told you. He basically explained it is much easier for a woman to get it from a man than vice versa, which makes sense if you think about it. My point is, until you test positive, don't assume you already have it and don't go too hard on the lady that exposed you to it. She didn't want it either and she is going through all the same emotions you are, probably worse since she knows she actually has it and possibly infected you. I hope you didn't get it but like you said earlier, it's easy curable. Just make sure she is in the clear before you sleep with her again if you plan on keeping her around. Hormone blood work does not test for STD's...you have to request to be tested.
Damn Soulja thanks a lot for that brother. The earliest appointment I could get was for Thursday morning at 8:30 the same exact time I scheduled off of work to go to labcorp for my blood work. So I set the labs back 11 days and went and got tested. I was indeed infected and have 2 more days of the anti-biotics that kill the parasite. Since you were so forthcoming in sharing your experience and truly making me feel better about the situation, I will share how I got it.
As I stated above I am in a relationship, and have been since 2016 We are both in our 40's, have been married and divorced, and are past Most of the drama that comes with relationships. We decided that it would not be a terrible idea to spice up our sex life by inviting another woman to join us for the weekend. And all went well and was well until about 8-10 days after the weekend ended. Really my girl started to notice an issue about 5 days later but brushed it off as heat rash, or possibly a minor yeast infection. When it continued to worsen, even after application of OTC meds, she went to her PCP and discovered what the problem was. And here we are. I can honestly say that it has strengthened our relationship in several ways and my only regret is not making the other woman get checked out before having her join us. It was a friend of her best friend and I pretty much had no vote or say in the selection process. Thanks again for sharing your experience Soulja. STAY STRONG!
STDs
Shoot. Go Raw or Go Home. See a hot chic. Say baby lets do this. And just pre medicate prior to gettin it on
Shot of PCN and 1gm Zithromax
Bam. Covered!
Disclaimer: above was for entertainment purposes only. I do not recommend doing that. Void where prohibited!
NAILED IT G-D
That is how it went down without the PCN or Zithro before the party.
Honestly the whole time we were planning our weekend the subject of STD's never came up. It just seemed so unprobable especially since we knew the other woman. Needless to say that put an end to any and all thoughts or discussions about anything other than 100% Monogamy in our future.
AnonGet the bloodwork plus tested for all STD's. Go ahead and check for this STD and all STD's. You will be getting bloodwork anyway. Two birds one stone. The way they test for STD's has changed over the years. Years back to test for Chlamydi required sticking a sterile q-tip up your pee hole. Now you just pee in a cup to test for Chlamydi. Some blood and urine is all they'll need to test for every STD possible.
"I just found out I am probably infected today."
You haven't confirmed that you have this STD. And I don't think you should start taking antibiotics to treat an STD you "might" have.
Thank you brother, I did get a full STD/STI panel done, however I put off the blood work for the gear for 11 days, mostly because the time I had scheduled off work to go get blood drawn was also the earliest time I could get an appointment at my Drs. office. My main concern was going on some sort of "list" or data bank of known STD people. I know it sounds silly now but at the time I was kind of flipping out.
AnonI'm pretty sure putting your name on a public list would violate HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996). There can be some very serious legal ramifications for doctors when it comes to sharing your personal medical records. Doctors usually need your consent just to release your medical records from one doctor to another doctor. For example if you're seeing a new doctor and that doctor wants to see your records from another doctor, they usually have to get your permission before they can fax it over. I would have to do more research but as far as I know your name is not on any public list based on STD testing results.
I’m a little confused but if you’re asking if you should test for signs of the virus after your antibiotic regimen then yes you should wait a couple weeks. There can still be trace signs that might throw a false positive even if you’re technically “clear”.
Sorry for the confusion B-muscle. I was worried about getting black-listed as an std carrier, or having the anti-biotics mess up some of my numbers and causing me to treat gear related side effects that were not at all related to the gear. Mostly I was scared and looking for someone to tell me it's no big deal go get it checked out. Thanks for your help brother.
