Proper training

ad

You know its funny. For years I thought I knew how to train properly. But I really didn't know how to get the best out of my workouts. I thought that lifting heavy was good, and it is good. I wasn't working the muscle properly. Not stretching then contracting. Basically I was just lifting weights. Not working on bodybuilding techniques. I was more of lifting for power lifting just throwing weights up. I am strong as hell but when it comes to my physique I now know why I don't have the results I should. I havnt been focusing on that mind to muscle connection. No I am in tuned with the muscles and fully understand how to work them. If I would have got this years ago I would be a beast probably. But all is good I have many years to go.

My clients hate to hear when I say "everyone responds differently to different types of training"

And even more so, I feel ya. Powerlifter for years and years. Looked like I worked out but not like I put as much into it as I did, even with a 500 + deadlift and 380 bench at 175 lbs. then I tried yoga. Then played sports I haven't played since college. Then did crossfit. Then got a degree. And everything new and dofferent really taught me to open my eyes up. Then realized that if I want to look the part I need to lift like a bodybuilder and not a weightlifter. Bam. Done.

Looking at fitness from different angles really opened my eyes and showed me how to maximize the results I wanted.
