So disgusted with the Hawthorne police officers in this video. They really failed America today. To watch that poor dog get shot when the cops were obviously in no danger at all, let alone the harassment and arrest of an innocent bystander. They could of done a million things tasered the dog, billy clubbed the dog, let the owner whos right there put the dog back but they didn't they chose to shoot and kill a innocent dog just doing it's job which wasn't even being that aggressive. the cops are the real criminals here and should be tried and prosecuted and anyone who defends them I have no respect for. I already called the Hawthorne police department and filled a complaint and I encourage you guys to do the same. They swore and oath to protect and serve our community and they failed us on so many levels today.

if a dog was killing a human, or mauling somebody or a child etc then yes shoot it, but you can actually tell that dog was not going to attack and wasn't even vicious, if anything it just looked excited to play, he could of easily just kicked it or even pepper sprayed or he could of even knocked it out with a bat, even still that would be excessive but better than what that scumbag done!!! hey dansta over here in Australia the cops would of probably started playing with it or even grabbed the leash etc, im sure the k9 unit of coppas are not happy with this cunt either

last night when I watched this I actually nearly cried, it shocked me and I couldn't sleep, I actually drove to the bottle shop and was going to drink myself silly, im already depressed as fuck, I dint end up buying any in the end, when I did shut my eyes about 4am, I still had that poor dog in my mind, I have two dogs myself and have always had dogs, its weird though as ive seen some fkd up shit and I reckon if I saw the cop get shot it woudnt affect me but the dog fuck!!! I felt like vomiting and felt like I was choking on my heart!
the way the dog suffered and squealed made me so sick It just really hurts knowing that poor dog had to suffer for doing everything it can, protecting his owner even at the cost of his life. You can tell that dog was a really friendly and lively dog. I can't believe any normal human would have reacted the way that cop did. He must have a phobia of dogs or maybe he isn't mentally stable enough to make decisions like pulling a gun on the job. He acted so quick and didn't even try to calm the dog before taking it down. I would worry how this officer would act in other situations and I question his judgement how many other innocent lives need to be taken while this officer is on duty?

Police should have just said sir please don't video tape this. Instead they put him in cuffs then his dog climbs out of a car and starts barking. The dog never attacked or bit anyone. It was barking because all these fucking dirtbag police officers were taking away his owner.
They could have handled the whole situation differently.

i watched that video over and over. It makes me tear up to watch.. partially because of tren and partially because i love rotties. That two bit fucking asshole made several mistakes and got his dog killed.
1) dont stop and film the police, they dont like it. Let them do their job which is to stand around, soaking up tax dollars, overstaffed and tell nigger jokes until something requires them to act like a public servant. (like being filmed)
2) dont keep filming the police when they tell you to stop. their penises get soft and it makes them mad.
3) if you are going to restrain your dog roll the fucking windows up, allow enough room for air flow but not enough to fit a whole dog.
4) dont get all puffed out and tough guy walk towards three cops with angry, soft penises and expect a good result. you will lose.
5) dont expect a cop to understand the reasonable way of controlling a simple animal. you will lose again because cops are often simpler than dogs. that dog was hardly attacking and if they would have stopped screaming over the owner, the owner may have been able to control the dog.
Lesson- shame on all of them. Bunch of fuckups.

AnonI love animals, I love dogs, I hate to see the destruction of any animal . Years ago when I shot and killed a couple of deer I felt empty inside, like a coward who just destroyed something innocent.
That being said, cops have to deal with the dregs of society . The most loathsome rapists, thugs, predators on the planet. The guy being a big shot shooting pics with his phone invited all that trouble upon himself and his dog. Had he simply walked his dog, or gone about his business, instead of playing Jr Law man his dog (who I agree was just being faithful ) would not have died such a horrible death.
The real shithead is the guy who owned the dog. Maybe next time he'll just let the police do their job.

I just watched this video yesterday and truly couldn't even watch it again, no reason for their actions. That dog did what any other dog would have done with their owner in that position. I can only hope they are released from the force indefinitly and charges are pressed.
