The only reason he was acquitted was because of Rodney King and the LA riots.
So I know I disagreed and put the blame on Det.Fuhrman for tampering with evidence but the prosecution committed many mistakes too. For example...1.Garcetti decided to try the case in downtown LA instead of Santa Monica...whole different jury.
2.The prosecutors didn't introduce into evidence the low speed highway chase for whatever reason.

I grew up down there when it all happened - LAPD was by far the most corrupt police department in the country at that time. Suge Knight had a squad of them bought and paid. It was a close case but those riots were so bad, they didn't want part two giving OJ the death penalty after Rodney and Reginald Denny.

He got off for 3 reasons:
He was a high profile public figure in the NFL and TV
He had the money to pay for the best team of lawyers like JC.
It was right after the LA riots and the city could not afford another riot.

I 100% agree but that's not how the justice system operates. Look I can have all the evidence in the world against you. However if some of that evidence has been proven to have been tampered with then that causes a technicality that could blow the whole case up and in my opinion that's exactly what happened. OJ's lawyers love the fact that evidence had been tampered with. That's all they needed to hear basically
