It’s hard to put into easily defined words. I think, feel, religion is being used as an excuse. A cover of sorts? Maybe 2000 years ago that’s what was being fought over, I mean it certainly has an underlying part in it, but it’s a great and mostly accepted excuse for war. Frankly I believe it’s human nature to want others to have the same views and beliefs as one’s self, to me it’s alien. The people in that area of earth don’t seem to be so receptive to what Israel stands for and their views of what living a proper life is, and that’s a god given right. Although the fighting has been going on for thousands of years, a part of me has to ask what the internet and social media influence has added to the already tense situation over there. To say there was (implied continuous) war for thousands of years isn't true. one empire or another maintained the "peace" allies shifted. More like mostly at odds like the US and China, Russia, the former USSR.
