Multiple accounts..

ad

Unfortunately there are some people who like free gear more than most and are willing to get to greater lengths to get the stuff.

It's not a new trend but I've been noticing more and more, that accounts have been created, same day they sling up a selfie, usually one where the guy in the photo is 230lbs and sub 10% fat, probably off Instagram. We are all impressed so we comment and hit the thumbs up on the photo... the guy's karma climbs up and happy days this and his other 10 account which he's done the same thing on are now eligible to get onto the generous promotions that the sources run.

Promotions are ran so we can hear the experiences of trusted members, see blood tests and make a more educated decision on where to spend our hard earn cash. If some 120lbs kid is hoarding the gear taking up 10 places for himself we are not gaining anything.

Check the track, look at reviews, friends, interaction and input if any the new member has had on the website before you hit the thumbs up. If they've not contributed to the community chances are that they are just wanting to take from it.

We also already know that you don't care about promotions before someone steps in..

Just busted another one today. In the end we always catch them.

Genuinely appreciate the work you're putting in for this community mate.

DSTER's picture

Has def been a trend lately

Yep been noticing this shit a lot. Also members that seem to follow each other around and give each other karma.
Some I can tell are straight up suspect.
But I mind my biz, do notice you all though haha

I can't remember who wrote a post about this but I think they nicknamed it circle bumping.. happened a lot a while ago and it does still happen. It's easier to find this out though as MODs have access to who's giving who karma.

Get them mofos, if they want free gear go else where. I'm so mad at those guys and I don't even know why because i don't pay for their freebies

GrowMore's picture

Probably some kid who lives in his parents basement works out 2 times a month and injects massive amounts of test.

Christophany's picture

It's natural to to be angry at them . . . They're like politicians who will say anything for a payout. Fuck 'em all!

They may get away with it for a little while but nobody gets away with it for long. Either one of us or one of you will notice a pattern in their behavior and then we start digging and it is over. It has actually been quite awhile since we had a big one. (Say over ten accounts)

GrowMore's picture

1000's of members and a handful of MODs its a thankless task. It's not just your responsibility though, it's also the communities to keep a watchful eye and be responsible otherwise this place to review and buy from trusted sources is at risk of loosing integrity.

A very wise man used to say, "You get by, but you don't get away."

The Mod' s have a big stick they use on any offenders they find.

And they do a damn fine job at it.

Well said KMC.

They are fairly on ball with it.

I usually suspect sources making fake accounts, posting supportive comments on their own si etc

Its all ip adress, if its from different ip adresses fairly hard for admin to catch/ proove.

GrowMore's picture

This definitely happens to, although 2/3 years ago a load of sources were taken off the ranking for a period of time for making false reviews and votes.. these must of been sources lacking intelligence as it's not that hard to hide/swap your IP address nowadays.

TheFlash85's picture

Yep. And i agree with the scum bag promo scab whores. Grown men begging for free shit. Pathetic. Then you see the" new" tags pop up. Couple i noticed in a promo now.

Look at the names, stats forum post, friends etc.

Then go a bit further read any comments and watch the typing.

Dumb fuck use uncorrect spelling or punctuation etc or use words like "cuz" instead of because or "bra" instead of bro etc.

Easy to pick.

Im obviously no mod but good at spotting shit, theres like 5-6 guys on regular in forums lately who have shot up quick but only been around a couple of months, they know the site well, you click and research then booom friends with each other.

You know what im saying...... could be previous ban trolls back under radar or complete new name staying low key with second chance from admin.

I usually work em out quick, but also could be multiple accounts.

Weve had dudes in past with 3 accounts all online literally arguing back and forth with himself to throw mods off track lol.

Its scum how far cunts go for free shit the scabs.

Its like a new breed of crack heads but for steroids..... theyd suck dick for it.

Caught red-handed again. LOL!

Haha brilliant. I'm with you on that one, problem is they keep coming back when banned and probably are all in it with their mates via email. It's a dirty game and no doubt they will get noticed by member who have been here a while and eventually banned by the mods.

Yeah, I noticed some of these trends over the past few years. I've come to the point that when I am looking at reviews, I scroll past every review done by someone with less than 100 Karma. I know many people say karma is worthless but in this situation i think it serves a purpose.

GrowMore's picture

I agree, although for me it's mostly the name beside the karma I'm looking at. There are a lot of trusted guys on here who are, like us here to buy gear and are in no need to sell out for a couple vials of test or a pack of dbol. A lot of the time they just happen to have 100+ karma because they've been here a while.

TheLeftHand's picture

I've noticed the same. I usually do a Google reverse image search on picture posts as well.

Christophany's picture

It doesn't always work if it is a private Facebook pic, but you will certainly catch a lot of idiots the way you described.

Unsure what that is mate?

grawrruff's picture

If you are running google chrome on a pc, right click on an image and select "search google for image." This will attempt to locate any other places that picture has been posted on the internet. It has mixed results of effectiveness.

GrowMore's picture

Didn't realise this. Thanks for the info mate.

I would keep in mind shipping has changed. I think we will see longer than normal TA for international for a good while.

pege's picture

agreed. ,
you got my thinking now. , i usually accept a fr. request. , thinking someone has a particular question. ..then i dont even revcieve a message. ..hmmm. ok. if your on my list and never hit me up. , im removing. from list. ..
now i just friended a couple brotheres. but they are positive and in on just about every forum topic .. respectfully. ..but for those i dont know. , time to clean things up a bit.

They certainly have a few tricks up their sleeve. We all know that it's not that hard to tell what's what as they stick out like a sore thumb.. empty track, day old account and no forum posts.

The sad thing is I end up doing similar things to you.. Most visitors to the site only use it as a platform to find where to buy gear and never make an account so don't get to know the system so to speak, end up making bad choices and get burnt.

This could just be survival of the fittest so to speak but it'll effect us all in some way or form.
