+ 3 Movies that get you going!
I know this topic has been brought up multiple times but let's run the refresher and see what movies get you amped and wanting to run to the gym to crush some iron against your forehead like a raging beast.
Off the top of my head.
300 - This was like porn for men and women, chicks loved seeing shredded dudes running around in skivvies and the dudes, well, we're much simpler, fitness and carnage. This one makes me remember the 300 crossfit challenge. We had a competition at my gym, I didn't win this one, came 2nd behind a dude who picked up body building and fitness as a way to represent body modification. Interesting guy with died eyedballs, split tongue and tattoos from the neck down. He just loved the idea that there were other ways to change your body and the guy was a beast, he beat me in every single endurance event we ever did and at this time, I was an endurance freak, right before I went to the dark side of power lifting.
Rambo 4 - This one caught me by surprise, late in the evening after a 2hr workout session I seen a sign at the gym "Cardio theater" what could this be? I said to myself. I walked in, the movie had just begun and I plopped down on a bicycle to do 15 min of cardio. almost 2hrs later, a protein shake and 3 bars, I was drenched like a whore in a wool sock..not the best with idioms. But man that movie got me going, I would peddle through the fight scenes, or run the treadmill in sprints. It was pretty intense, left a lasting impression on how to make cardio enjoyable
Blood sport - Bet no one seen this coming, do I really need to say more?

Matrix 1 ( only the first one)
Fight club
Rocky 4
I use to feel the same way about the Matrix. Rewatched them all recently and appreciate them all now. I wish someone could boot some Kung Fu into my brain, LOL!
I think matrix is so much deeper than most realize because it’s about combating the systemic constructs of conformity. Having an inner conscience to find our true purpose rather than complying to a system or “matrix” that tells us how to think or do. It has biblical symbolism referencing Zion, Nebuchadnezzar, Neo meaning “revised form or new” he’s also “the one” as a Christ like figure whose sacrifice was humanities salvation. We as a society generate the algorithmic constructs of our routines which constructs a system. The system is held in place by agents “elitists” in power which benefits and elevates them to godlike status. The symbolism of the energy pods which we’re connected to can relate to how we’re all connected through our “cell” phones and social media. This is just the beginning or a precursor to the Matrix itself.
Fight club is highly symbolic as well combating corporate capitalism. The music in these movies are symbolic as well
Rocky 4 is about perseverance.
That’s a very deep analogy of the Matrix. I can definitely understand where you’re coming from. I really liked fight club except the concept that Brad Pitt was actually an alter ego, and didn’t really exist. That was a little corny and blew its load for me.
Rocky 4 is one of my favorite movies ever. Probably because my whole football team (well, all the cool guys) went to see it on opening night tripping on purple double barrel mescaline. This movie has been a driving force in my life ever since. I have three songs from that soundtrack on my daily workout playlist, and they always seem to come on when I’m ready to slack off. Training Montage, Burning Heart, and War. It’s like God puts one of them on whenever I’m getting lazy. It reminds me that I’m not at the gym to fuck around. I’m embarrassed to say that this happens to me a little too often, but one of these songs will always come on like a punch I’m my pussy face telling me that Gods watching. Yeah, I know, I’m crazy, whatever works, right???
Miracle always does it for me
Vision Quest my friends an 80's wrestling movie. Gotta bust your balls to beat the best!
Loved Vision Quest and still watch it with my son at the beginning of every wrestling season.

Hahaha yeah saw them both
300, John wick, predator 1, blade 1, Dany the dog!!
300 is awesome!!!

Gladiator is a classic favorite of mine. Crazy overcoming & revenge story.
The first Iron Man movie is also a true classic for me. It was my favorite movie for years and I absolutely love the scene where he breaks out of the terrorist cave with a badass flamethrower and torches everything.
I have a part in a Film that really makes me feel awesome and psyched too LOL (well many I guess lol) and its at the end of Lone Survivor where its looking like everyone is about to get slaughtered by the Taliban in the homes, then all of a sudden the US Air force shows up and blitzes every fucker!!! That specific bit where the Apache flies over them all and asks 'Multiple hostiles, Clear to engage?' and then the next thing it does the 50cal Gun run right through all the Rag heads LMAO like they are just maggots underfoot!! Then the Bombers start launching the HUGE shells at them all running off in the mountains HAhaha
