+ 4 Motorcycle!
I absolutely love motorcycles! Growing up everyone was into cars but I loved bikes. Started off on a 1998 cb750 moved on to a 03 Honda F4i, had a 06 Yamaha R6, then a bobbed out 2013 vstar 1100, then a naked Yamaha FZ6r. About 6months I bought a 05 sv650s (one of my dream bikes as a kid) and about 2 weeks ago after getting my dream job I bought a 2018 cb1000r.
The sv650s and cbr1000r are the beginning of building my stable. In the future I’m looking at add the Yamaha tracer9, Honda cbr1000rr and the last gen Harley Davidson Dyna.
I just moved hella far so what was a 15-20min commute is now 140miles a day about 1-1hr 30min. In the rain it’s slightly under 2hrs.
The twisties in this area are trash. Nasty pot holes very uneven and broken roads. I miss living close To 35 (skyline blvd) and 84 (la Honda rd) and highway 1 in half moon bay
Anyways any motorcycle enthusiasts on here?? What are you guys riding? What do you got in the garage?

That's quite the motorcycle journey! The CB1000R is a sweet ride. Bummer about the roads though, good roads make all the difference.
I currently have a 21 Harley street glide special. Turning 50 in March and also retiring. Looking to get a 40th anniversary gsx-r 750 but my lady tells me im to old. so might be getting a new lady also lol
Brooother!!! Lmao. I’ve never ridden a street glide or road glide. I’ve always been curious of how comfy they are and what it’s like to not feel any wind.
That 40th anniversary gsxr in red/white with gold trim looks so fuckin nice. I’m highly considering the 750 as an extra sport bike
When you get older it's nice not to have the wind hitting you lol. Radio is a plus 2 lol. My first bike was a 2005 cbr 600rr. They all have their perks.
I didn’t realize how much wind protection you get til an OG flew pasts me with a cigarette in his mouth lmao. I love all bikes except for those electric ones. But with baggers it’s 50/50 on whether or not they will let you pass when lane splitting. Sometimes I’ll hook all the way around to pass. And if I pull up next to any Harley rider at a light they take off like a bat out of hell. I don’t get it lol.
That year cbr600rr is my favorite. If I can find one in good condition on OfferUp or market place I will buy it. That’s one of my dream bikes.
I think in 2005 that cbr was $7500 and today they are still around $5k. crazy
5k with 20k miles plus. Anything 15k miles and under people are still asking 6-7k. Dealerships are asking for even more under 10k miles.
Im def picking one up this coming year
Good for u Sixth, that's wassup bro.
U don't like the zx14r?
I do but not enough to buy one. The zx14r and busa are too chunky for my taste. I only like ass hips and thighs extra chunky but my bikes gotta be slim.
Congrats on your dream job brother. That is the most badass thing of all. If we can find something we truly enjoy doing and it makes money, that is one hell of an accomplishment in my eyes.
Thanks! It took about 5years. Money is no factor now. I’m very very happy as I haven’t been able to buy unnecessary gear for about 3-4months and now I can lmao
Was always a dirt bike guy myself. Sold my YZ450F a few years ago. Miss having one.
Dirt bikes are fun only issue is I tend to act reckless on them. I’ve wrecked way more times ona dirt bike than street bike doing stupid shit. Somehow my mentality with street bike is ok I gotta respect this bc I can die but on a dirt bike it’s like Ima ride this thing like a whore even tho you can definitely die riding dirt bikes as well
And that’s why mine sits in the garage collecting dust, lol
IronMarcusDude, that's an awesome collection! I totally get the motorcycle bug. I've had a few myself over the years.
Right now I'm rocking a 1969 Norton Ranger and a 2000 FXDL dyna. The Norton is a project that never ends haha, but the Dyna is my go-to for just about everything. Used to have a Fat Boy too, great bike.
That commute sounds brutal, though. Especially with those roads. Makes you really appreciate the good riding days, right?
The commute isn’t bad. If I was in a car it’d be horrible. I get to kill 2 birds with one stone. Cut my commute in half and get that adrenaline fix everyday
Damn sith you’re sparking the addiction again… I have my grandfather’s 1969 Norton Ranger I posted up and have been restoring, and then my 2000 FXDL dyna that I’ve had forever.
Congrats on the baby & on the job success!
Been looking at a crotch rocket… I had a short stint with a 636 and it was one of the most fun and most capable bikes I’ve had handling wise.
I’ve seen you post pics of the Norton! That’s a keeper! I’ve always been a fan of the Dyna look I just don’t like the feel of cruisers handle but that sound they produce are godly.
Thanks!
I like the 636 to bad they had that recall on the 2025 models. Crotch rockets are fun as hell but can get you in a lot of trouble. My cousins friend bought a 600cc as his first bike and died a week later. Didn’t know how to turn and was speeding. Went wide right into a tree. Sad shit.
Yes sir I finally got her running on all original! Granddad took great care of her just had to get the old dissolved gas & oil syrups out lol.
Man it’s all too real. Sorry to hear that. My best friend sold his Busa to a guy who claimed to be a “track rider” 3 years back, and he tried to gun it out of the parking lot whiskey throttled it and went probably 0-80 into a wall across the street. Was pronounced dead on the scene and was almost fully decapitated by a cable. Dude had no gear.
My buddy refuses to sell any of his bikes private sale anymore because it still weighs on him super heavily.
Sad man. Worst thing you can is act like you can handle a bike like that without the proper skills. Busas are a ridiculous bike. My friend is looking to get one. He’s been riding a long time so I don’t question him buying it but I strongly believe you need years on years of experience to get a bike like that. Those throttles are not forgiving at all. This cb1000r is a detuned engine and it still wants to rip me off of her doing 0-80 pulls. I can’t imagine how a Busa feels. I think they are sweet bikes but just look to bulky for my taste.
I stay geared up I don’t care if it’s 104 outside. It’s the least I can to protect skin or possibly breaking something. Shoulder pads, back pad, elbow/arm pads, knee pads and hip pads are all ce level 2 and Looking to get those airbag vests they have now. I will also never understand why people cheap out on the helmet.
Fuck yeah well said my man.
The people that don’t wear gear have never had to have road rash cared for. Worst I ever had required an ER visit for broken hand/fingers and debridement to the rash. Man it’s basically a nurse covering your wound in antiseptic and then using a mix of Brillo pads/steel wool, sandpaper, and sponges to rip off all the dead tissue and promote new growth/healing.
Often done with burn victims too and is absolutely grueling. I still have a gnarly patch of scarred skin but it’s on the bottom forearm/elbow so not too noticeable.
I can’t imagine the people the take back slides in a t-shirt and get damn near full body rash.
Had a friend loose control from speed woobles after hitting a pot hole at high speeds on his repsol 1000 replica. No gear of course. He went down to the bone on his shoulders hip elbow knee ankle. He was fucked up! Not gonna lie we were all riding like assholes that day. We were all early 20s. He needed skin grafts and had to deal with that cleaning shit. I figured he wouldn’t ride again and the framesliders did there job so about 5months after let him know I’d buy the bike off him. He said fuck no I just order a full suit lmao.
Harley fat boy
Those 30th anniversary’s fat boys look pretty fuckin sweet!
Mines the 100yr anniversary model. 88B motor. Heavy but fun
Had a Yamaha FZ6 myself. Loved that bike, it was heavy though!
Did some moving around and sold it.
Where I’m at in Minnesota is popular for bikes but drivers don’t pay attention. Seen some bad wrecks.
It’s like that here. Let some dude pass me while lane splitting and saw him about 20min later on the side of the road with his leg mangled. I’d say I get cut off by people suddenly lane switching atleast 4 times a week. Best advice I can give to new riders is learn how to emergency brake and learn how to swerve. I’ve had 2 really close calls in the last month. Had to emergency brake at 50mph and almost tboned a car and the other I was lane filtering and car started turning as I was next to him. Both times I had to check the undies for brown stains lmao
Yeah, I had some asshole change lanes into my lane well I was next to him and he was just staring at me.
I had to gas it to avoid being pushed off the road.
The whole time the girl in the passenger seat was just screaming at her mom. This was before helmet cameras were a thing or else I would have called the cops.
I’m looking to get a camera set up just for this reason! Gotta cya especially commuting everyday
