Received info and wanted to share with people if packaging isn't "spot on", we might not get packs because of recent issues.

Intelligence Snapshot: 18 April, 2013
Poisoned Letters and Suspicious Packages
Two letters containing the deadly toxin ricin were sent to President Obama and Senator Wicker of Mississippi earlier this week, raising concerns about further suspicious packages. Both letters were intercepted at remote mail screening facilities and did not pose a danger to the intended recipients/addresses at any time. Initial field tests were positive for ricin and further testing is underway.

Increased Vigilance
The discovery of the poisoned letters one day after the Boston marathon brought back alarming memories of the anthrax letters that killed five people and infected many more shortly after the 9/11 attacks in 2001. As a result, authorities have received many reports of suspicious packages.
A senate office building in Washington, DC was briefly closed on Wednesday morning due to such a package. This response was the result of reporting protocols, which are designed to minimize the threat from potentially dangerous devices and deliveries and are in place in most office buildings.

Ricin Letter Suspect Arrested
Initial fears that the ricin letters could be linked to the bombings at the Boston marathon have since been dismissed as unlikely. Federal agents have arrested a man identified as Paul Kevin Curtis of Tupelo, Mississippi, which is also hometown to the Mississippi Senator. The letters were signed "I am K.C, and I approve this message." The suspect is described by various sources as a ‘challenged’ conspiracy theorist.

About Ricin
Ricin is a deadly toxin, even in very small quantities. It can be delivered as a powder, a mist, or a pellet, or it can be dissolved in water or weak acid. The toxin is extracted from widely available castor beans, which are heat-processed throughout the world to make castor oil.
There is no antidote to ricin, which makes avoiding exposure the best way to prevent injury. Death can occur within 36-72 hours after ricin has been ingested or inhaled in significant quantities. Skin exposure can cause irritations but not death by itself.
Ricin has been used in various forms in several assassination plots. The majority of these plots were carried out by lone wolf and domestic anti-government extremists. However, al Qaeda affiliates in Yemen are also reported to have been working on ricin production, while the jihadist Inspire magazine has marketed the potent toxin to aspiring lone wolf terrorists in the US.

Suspicious Mail Indicators:
If you are suspicious of a mailing
and are unable to verify the contents
with the addressee or sender:

1) Do not open
2) Treat it as suspect
3) Isolate it
4) Vacate the area immediately
5) Immediately notify the proper authorities

The postal services are watching out for:
1) restrictive markings
2) postmark city different from return address city
3) excessive postage
4) misspelled words or badly typed / written
5) addresses to title only
6) rigid or bulkiness of package
7) fictitious, unfamiliar, or no return address
8) strange odors
9) protruding wires
10) wrong title with name
11) oily stains on wrapping
12) lopsided boxes

Hopefully this will be helpful to sources and to us, since we are all in the "same boat" per say. I know sources are on top of their game when it comes to this, so, for us, we just need to be patient with T/A times.

One last thing I'd like to say : People trying to hurt / kill other people for no good reason can go screw themselves and burn in hell.
That is all...GOOD DAY !!!!

IMO A good source will package stuff in a non-suspicious manner for your and their safety. Net effect will just be delay for most people.
