+ 2 I’m back and on the mend.

ad

Well my hiatus has ended.

Had a major injury in my absence. Complete tear of the long head on my bicep and complete tear of the rotator cuff at the same time. Arm has been immobilized since. Fuck this sucks. Surgery went well but I need to wear this damn sling for six weeks. At any rate other than gh which I’m starting in a few weeks is there anything else I could use to speed the recovery time on this.

Thanks all.

Like Ghost mentioned collagen forms in different types and I'm not sure of the type GH will create. You certainly don't want disorganized collagen with decreased tensile strength which I agree with. Honestly I would invest in vitamin c for sure along with other collagen supporting nutrients.

The data I’ve seen on HGH for tendon recovery honestly isn’t good brother. It can lay down different types of Collagen, not the ones you particularly want for healthy tendon repair, in disorganized order. Decreasing tensile strength. And possibly increase risk of injury post repair due to this. I’ll look again for the studies and edit the post with a link. Booked pretty solid today but I’ll come back to this.

That's interesting about GH, I didn't know that. Figured GH would lay organized strong collagen down. I agree, don't want disorganized collagen. Type 1 collagen is the key.

Fuse ‘, don’t listen to press he’s only after pics of u in a banana hammock and arm sling !… I know what he’s up to!!… here’s something I learned with m y back surgery yrs ago…go slow,… everyone wants to to get back quick af but if you take it slow, and redevelop those muscles ---- and the tendons get used to what you r doing then complications r much less down the road…it’s like starting over from day 1 of a good test cycle and banging diet….slow n steady ALWAYS wins the race bro!…don’t rush it ..get the muscle/ tendon foundation healed and on rhythm before adding anything …just my .02 bro so stay healthy my brutha!

This is true…but ,…my wife is monitoring my messages these days so she can’t know that side of me…

Hey rusty. PT is great. Knows how to push me just enough without risking a re-injury. Gonna take this time as a much needed mental and physical break. Be back at full strength in no time. As in a year plus but if done right I’ll be better than before

It sucks but I’ve usually found those major injuries and setbacks lead me to reexamine my training, yes I have to go back to square 1 but after that you’ve gotten so much better at the basics that your top end improves because of it.

Case in point I had a pec tear on my left side and the rehab had me using weights so light the only way I could get a workout was by squeezing harder than I ever had before. This developed a better mind muscle connection and today my pecs are better than ever before.

I guarantee your best is yet to come my man, can’t wait to see it!

Thanx BM. Gotta take it low and slow for sure

Very sorry to hear this bud - what exercise were you doing when it happened? When I injured my RC badly things I took were: Collagen powder (get one mixed with Vit C for higher absorption like Bulk powders), 1g Vit C tablets, Small spikey massage ball to roll against the wall over the cuff area to improve blood flow & increase healing time), BPC 157 & TB500, Curcumin 1.5g /day, Vitamin A & D.

Wasn’t an exercise it was an accident that could’ve ended way worse so I’ll take it and deal with recovery. My body, mind and soul needed a reset so I’m looking at things positively. Hope all is well press and thanks for the info
