Infection of pip? Need help

ad

Friday afternoon I pinned some of one of the top sources test e 300. I pinned about 500 mgs to frontload. When I was going in I felt some pain but pushed thru it, aspirated and everything was fine. Saturday some good pip but nothing terrible. Sunday was bad and had the girlfriend take a wooden dowel and rub it out, seemed to make it worst. Now Monday, 3 days later it's red around the area, maybe a little warm to touch put mainly hurts like a mother. Normal pip from highly dosage test and high amount of liquid? Or sign of infection?

Huge mistake rubbing it with a wooden dowel! You should not rub an injection it can do more cell damage that way and it does not help spread the compound in a positive way. If you don't have a fever I would say you bruised the area and caused more inflammation

It really depends because you could be having an allergic reaction to one of the carrying oils. Or if you are new to pinning just virgin muscle. I had a really good amount of pip in the beginning I just sucked it up and then I got less and less.

Yeah maybe a break from rubbing it lol.

Massaging is a common practice because it increases circulation in the tissue, which helps disperse the oils. Inflamed and red tissues tho shouldn't be aggravated.

unless you know what you are doing this can cause more harm then good. this will help if you are trained at doing so. massaging immediately after an IM injection can cause the oil to fall out of depot ending up in the sub q causing more pip.

not true brother. the two tissues are separated by membranes. massaging does not rupture that membrane, so it's not possible for the oils to go from the interstitial spaces and into subcutaneous tissues, unless there's a gaping hole for the fluids to pass thru.

covertmind's picture

wouldn't there be a hole from the injection? or if the user doesn't use a long enough pin?

this is using the z track method for intra muscular, but read the last note: says that discomfort can occur due to leakage, i could be wrong but this is why i thought if the swelling traveled, this is what occurred

no, you're right.. it's just a bit of a complex topic. there's so many factors involved, like clotting and inflammation, that aide in this. pin size is a factor as well. the bigger the pin, the more time for the clot to form or the inflamed tissue to close around the injection site. and i love having a nurse as a wife, because she loves the z track method.

typically, you're going to massage the surrounding tissues to where you stuck the needle in, rather than the same spot. if pinned properly, the oils will have some time to disperse throughout the interstitial spaces (the spaces between muscle fibers), rather than buildup into a ball at the injection site. so imagine a spot around the needle the size of a coin, say a quarter. this could happen when injected too quickly. but by pinning more slowly, that coin sized ball would be more like half the size of a dollar bill because it would disperse more evenly. massaging those areas around where you pinned would increase circulation and allow for those oils to become absorbed much more easily.

but not to say either is right or wrong. thing about these factors is that they're always subjective. i wish more folks here know about z track method. def makes a difference

100% wish my wife would do that, she gets nervous and way to shaky for me. that's why i inject slow, leave the pin in for an additional 20-30 seconds after all oil is out, then just put pressure on the site for 20-30 seconds after removing the pin.

def helps me out having her. i pin my quads but not my glutes. i always juke myself up when i pin them, so she does the ole ass cheeks.

covertmind's picture

nothing better then having her spread the ass, lol

btw, if it is infected, the injection site will be mushy and soft to the touch. if it is hard like a knot, more than likely just a bad shot

i can hear you now too:

pssh.. i don't need her. i got this.

fucked around and juked yourself up

That is why I really enjoy these good discussions! Well done Dos, especially for all the civility!

Have you ever heard this?

"rubbing immediately following an IM injection could cause the oil to fall out of depot and end up in the sub q, thus causing more pip."

Because I use to think the same thing and I use to massage and I noticed an increased pip. Although again maybe it varies with each person.

lol, great minds think alike

I told you I steal all of your good shit and make myself look smart Lmao! Now you know why I tell you to post on these damn boards before I butcher all your advice:P

Darktide's picture

No rolling at all brother!! Heating pad hot bath. The tissue already takes trauma once the compound is injected. All rubbing will do is cause more trauma. Heat it with a pad, rice sock and etc. Trust me you will be way better off Smile

Darktide's picture

I do thighs and deltoids with 2 mls. But it really depends on muscle size as far as comfortable absorption I would guess. Also be prepared for the pip with virgin muscle as well. Are you pre heating the oils before injections?

Darktide's picture

What size needles are you using? I always heat unless I am deployed and I never have leakage.

extremediezel's picture

sounds like pip.. sometimes it can be so bad, you cant even lift your arm...if you get a fever you got an infection..

Could be a bad reaction to the carrier or solvents used. Not sure what your experience is here but hot compress and anti-inflamatories will help you cope.
