I should be sleeping.
ad
Every time I think I've fixed my sleep problems, I find out soon I'm wrong. I have to go back to the Dr, which I hate doing. Taking drugs to sleep sucks! But so does laying awake. I know I'm not the only one around here with this issue. What do the rest of you do? Do you give up and start your day? Do you toss and turn annoyed at your consciousness? I'm as awake right now as I would be in the morning, and fairly certain anymore melitonin would not be wise. I feel like my sleep clock needs reset, any ideas on reprogramming myself to end this cycle? This is happening nightly.

Ugt- It sounds like you have made the rounds with the standard first line therapies. There are some newer designer drugs that interact with the same receptors as potent benzodiazepines like valium but since they are not benzo's they are less habit forming. One example you may see TV commercials for is a drug called Lunesta. My understanding is this works in a lot of people. I am sure you know/ have been told this but if you're taking performance enhancers- steroids/HGH, etc, all these can contribute to sleep problems and ultimately you're going to have to cut back or suspend their use to get sustained improvement. It is recommended that cognitive behavior therapy is done with someone getting prescription meds for sleep probs. They can remind and reinforce proper sleep hygiene habits- ie avoid caffeine 6-8 hrs before bedtime, try to get to bed at a similar hour each night, etc. I hope your problems resolve.
Last night I took 10mg melatonin 200 mg trazadone and 3 Benadryl and laid awake for over three hours past out for an hour then woke up. Lmao fuck me sideways. Sleep is just a myth.....
I take melatonin 5mgs every night about an hour before bed. If thats not working that well then i will take 50mgs of diphenhydramine, its the stuff in benadryl but they sell it by its self as a sleep aid. I just read your post below about the trazadone. If that stuff didnt know you out then what i use isn't gonna help. I took trazadone twice and it knocked me the fuck out both times. Way to strong for me. Send GearHead a pm he's got a regimen he uses that has helped him overcome sleep problems.
Valerian root 60mg an hour before bed worked wonders for me. Nice clean sleep and no drowsiness in the morning.
Never heard of that, thanks for the tip.
I take xanax or klonopin to knock me out.
And you can a REALLY high dose of Melatonin for years with no ill effects.
That works but then u develop a physical tolerance after awhile and have to take it to sleep and.not go thru withdrawls.. u should change that up to something non addicting bro, you'll regret it later if you dont
X2 being dependent on drugs sucks. I took a large dose of trazadone half an hour ago yet here I sit wide awake. I don't take it often but I'm desperate.
exactly. in the long run shit like that will only make things much worse.
Similiar post.. maybe give it a whirl..

Thank you
U need more cardiovascular. Two hours cardiovascular a day. One hour before bed will help
That wouldn't hurt lol
There are physicians and labs that specialize in sleep disorders, if you have insurance I'd give them a go.
We know what the cause is, just not how to treat it. A sleep study is a good idea though.
just start waking up early in the am and stay awake all day no matter what and you will be fine in a week or 2. i used to be the same way until i got a job that i have to wake up at 5 am and my insomnia was magically cured.
It will suck but I beleive ou are correct. I got up this morning at 5, after tossing forever it was ridiculous.
Word I wake up @ 4am to go to work no sleep issues here by the time I'm done w the gym after work I go home & sleep like a bear
best wishes to all the Insomniacs in the community
tough to hit the gym some nights after work though huh? well, tough dragging myself in there, after 10 mins or so im fine.
For some of is us it is just a way of life it seems. Sleep is so vital to growth I often wonder how much better I could be in this game if I slept 6-8 hours a night. I am lucky to get 2-3 hours. It is horrible. I have been dealing with this shit my entire life.
I have to take a handful of benadryl, and since its 2 am you see that it works so well..use to take trazadone.
Benadryl makes me rls so much worse, I cannot take it at all.
Sometimes it gives me terrible rls also..only if I take to much. Take 5 a night, anymore than that and I'm up all night
Last time i took 1, the next morning after kicking and twitching and vibrating all night-the mattress was slid about 6 inches off box springs on side. Lol-looked like a beatdown happened, sigh..
Trazadone just recently stopped working :(
Yea my girl is at 150 mg a night cause she is getting a tolerance to it. I asked her what shes gonna do once it stops working completely. I'm up 4-5 times a night..I wake up hungry , think my body is getting use to high caloric intake , even at night
I have to take ambiean
That used to work for me. My body has this amazing ability to outsmart medications lol
