I just curious to see how you folks feel about the stricter gun control laws big brother is trying to pass. I live in ca where they are trying to ban any rifle with a detachable clip and consider it illegal to posses any such rifle on July 2013. If this laws passes I'm moving to texas

every tactical rifle has a detachable clip and most others. i believe thats everything except bolt-action rifles

Supernova283There is no such thing as an assault rifle that uses a clip. Stripper clips are used to load magazines and there are clips that attach to machine guns.
No one modern rifle uses a clip.
Supernova283Eh we don't really consider it detachable. You have to go through quite a bit of trouble to get it to come out. It's easier just to fire off the remaining rounds.
No one removes en bloc clips. It's just not really done.
You can remove the barrel from a handgun too, but it's not really considered detachable.
Leave the gun talk to those of us who own and shoot guns regularly.

StevebBro I know where you were going with that, In every post if someone is a little off you point it out to let us all know how smart you are. People nowadays refer to clips as magazines and vice versa. But they want to ban ANYTHING detachable, that would include "Clips", Magazines, Drums.
